Little Miss Sylvan Beach Parade

She looked DARLING!!!! Her pig tails got smooshed down by her adorable hat. She enjoyed the beads and some of the parade mainly she enjoyed just sitting in mommy’s lap! She had no interest in running off or leaving my side which I was thankful for because you just never know with a almost 2 year old! She didn’t care for the sirens she thought they were too loud and covered her ears. Sylvan Beach Parade is a La Porte tradition! We always go. Daddy was working so he missed this year which was a bummer but we still had fun. Mommy got a t shirt this year! She was especially good sitting in the car while we waited for it to start.

32 weeks

🐮 EIGHT MONTHS 🐮 has come and gone of carrying this sweet surprise! It’s hard to believe that in about 6 weeks our little Beau Michael will be in our arms instead of taking up alllllll this room in mamas belly!

I don’t make birth plans but here’s the “plan” :
We are scheduling my c section for 39 weeks and they will sweep my membranes at 38 weeks to try and help me go into labor since I cannot be induced. If I have not gone into labor on my own by scheduled date we will have a c section. unless beau is absurdly big at my next appt then they will not sweep membranes and will probably move c section to 38. So I saw Julie today and showed her my blood sugar log and she was not worried at all. She said I barely failed the glucose test and I probably would have passed the 3 hour one! So I don’t have to take my blood sugar anymore just check it every once in awhile to make sure it’s stable. She also wasn’t worried about me being anemic she said it was barely low. They will do more blood panels before delivery so if I need iron at that time I will get an infusion. & I decided to ask about my incision since I’ve had pain/itching. I know it makes sense since my body and uterus is stretching but it always was uncomfortable before I got pregnant again. Sure enough she looked and I have a keloid…so one downside if I do end up with a vbac is they could fix my keloid during c section. She said they would make an incision above it and below it and make it look nicer. So it’s looking like beau will be born sometime between June 2nd and 9th!

Carolina JuneBug

This stage with her has been so hard but so entertaining and sweet! She’s becoming independent and likes to do things herself as far as feeding herself most of the time. She gives the sweetest random hugs and kisses. She knows what she wants and oh have mercy if you can’t figure it out quick enough or forbid you pick the wrong thing! Her words are here and there. We definitely hear her say things but nothing you can get her to repeat when you ask her to. She calls for the dogs when Dane takes her to feed them at night she yells “DOOOOOOO” (duke) she tried saying paisley. She said “yay” when we were building blocks one night. And one night she was scaring us running back and forth on the bed and me and Dane both just ran on water to try and catch her and we were telling her to stop but we were laughing so hard we couldn’t breathe and Carolina yelled “stop!” She says mama and daddy more regularly. She still gets very bashful at times. And puts her head down or covers her eyes. She even does it to me and Dane sometimes. She has a little temper! She is so smart it is amazing to sit and watch her play. When she’s building blocks she looks for all the legos that are “2” and “4” and “1” and puts those together! She doesn’t like to build if they aren’t a match. Color doesn’t matter but if they are the same size matters apparently lol and she rips some pages out of her peekaboo books sometimes trying to lift the flap and i just save them and glue them back on but it amazes me that when she gets to that page she looks around the room for the one that goes there and will go grab it! She’s getting big so fast and I am not ready or even sure how my heart will grow to love a new baby but I think she is going to be a funny and ornery big sister! I’m excited and scared to watch.

 HAPPY EASTER

Carolina June is going to miss sitting on her brother when he’s gone! Haha

Craving nothing. Disliking: crazy blood sugar! It’s all over the place. Never high. The highest it’s been is 128 after my coffee and a peanut butter waffle. But one day it got as low is 67. I’ll get it under control but it just sucks!

Happy Easter!

Baby in a bunny bonnet! Same bonnet and bloomers from last year…same baby except much harder to take pics of! She turned my photo shoot into gardening time and got all dirty lol

On Good Friday when Dane got off we went to be with his family for an Easter dinner. Carolina was not in the mood socialize!

We had fun even though Carolina didn’t want to participate in any activities and Katy and Dustin brought nanny over! I was really nervous because the next day was our best friends 2nd Easter theme birthday! Carolina June is obviously the life of every party.

She fell asleep about 20 minutes after getting there which was a win because we left early hoping she would sleep on the way and she did not. So she got in a little nap before the party started and woke up MUCH more sociable. Her favorite thing was this little rocking chair and momos gorgeous Easter arrangement in the milk can. And it made for cute pictures for mommy!

Raygen is so good at getting her to smile

I’ll take what I can get! And I tried for a picture of these two but you know they’re wild

Carolina June wanted to sit in the chair where Missy sat for opening presents! But she was very good anytime we moved her or told her no.

Finally when we were ready to leave she wanted down outside to play in the dirt!

Then Sunday morning (He was risen!) but the Easter bunny came!

I hope Carolina loves her Easter basket goodies this year. I feel bad that we have not done Easter egg hunt or dyed eggs…I felt she was so little for it and thought next year would be better but then I saw some kids her age doing that stuff and felt guilty I didn’t do it with her. I thought about throwing eggs in our yard for her this morning but I just thought she would get attacked by our viscous mosquitos and also would probably end up playing in dirt / flower beds and get super upset when we brought her back inside and most importantly this morning I want to get her at church with us. Just seemed like things that could sabotage our morning.

Breaking news: Carolina was unimpressed with Easter! Lol this is why I try not to stress myself out or spend a lot of money on things because she is just so funny about what she likes and doesn’t or what she is interested in. The Easter bunny does not take priority in this house, she wanted her chocolate milk and powdered donuts and to watch Winnie the Pooh

We made it to church! Late but we made it. Carolina stayed snuggled with me for worship and a little choir performance they did but when our pastor got on the microphone for service she got scared and wouldn’t stop crying so we left

We had lunch at Danes parents

Carolina ate a little but papa looked at her and she got so upset I had to move her completely away from the table lol so dramatic

Cousin jo

Attempt at family pics

She came home and immediately brought me a pillow which means she wants to nurse and take a nap

When she woke up it was time to make Mac n cheese and go to my parents! Yay.

But here was her mood

We had lots of fun and Carolina got some rain boots and other treats! It was a long busy weekend and I put on a full face of makeup three days in a row haha
