Here’s what 27 looks like officially lol Monday we went shopping for our bedroom makeover! I needed pillows and other accents. We went to marshalls and Walmart and found some great stuff and I got a yummy quiche from Savannah’s cafe their quiche of the day was 4 cheese! This is the place that catered the pies for our wedding.
Nana met us at our house, I requested a root beer from Dairy Queen and she delivered! 💗 she stayed and looked at the stuff I picked and we visited for a while until Dane got home from work but Carolina slept almost the whole time! When she woke up nana was gone.
My mama came by to see me and brought me a bday card from josie! Carolina was very much attached to me and didn’t want anything to do with anyone lol it took her awhile to be good and awake and play independently. But she was okay with dada so I put together our bedroom….
Loving it so far. It feels so inviting. I picked some new lamps from Kirklands to pick up Tuesday. Somehow or another Dane and I were talking about photos and I said something about maybe wearing my wedding dress since we take photos for our anniversary and I ended up trying on my wedding gown! Haha that’s what every girl does for their 27th bday right?!
And before you know it I had an EXCELLENT idea
Is she cute or what?!? For her 5th birthday my cousin will do a wedding dress photo shoot and I’m already swooning. I was so happy to go to sleep in my new bed!
Tuesday she woke up and laid back down on Danes pillow and kept putting my pillow on top of her like a blanket! I cherish the time we get to spend together in bed each morning before the day starts. Another reason I’m thankful I did not take that job and we can start our day slowly with snuggles and giggles.
And…she has never ever noticed my dads gun cabinet before. It has breakable pretties in it and the door is chicken wire and it’s a little wobbly especially on our carpet so I dreaded her ever noticing it. Wellllll she saw me moving stuff around our bedroom last night and saw me touch it so I guess it registered in some compartment of her brain probably the one titled “things to be destroyed” and when I sat her on the floor the next morning the first thing she did was go swing the door open super hard! I try not to make a big deal because sometimes once she knows it’s off limits her mission in life to disobey me lol

We took nana with us and she wore black too! I should have gotten a picture. I had to return something to Marshall’s and she needed to return something to jc pennys. We got our Starbucks and a Lorraine quiche from Savannah’s cafe all nanas treat and we were ready to conquer! And we stopped in Kirklands and got my beautiful lamps, they are the same as the one Carolina has I loved it so much I just wanted them for our room too. It’s coming together! I know how I want to decorate the bedside tables and our dresser I just have to find the perfect pieces.
This little girl was driving me nuts lol i told her no a million times when she was messing with the entryway table. She normally does not mess with it but something today tickled her about it especially once she knew I didn’t want her messing with it. She laughed when I told her no and I tried making a loud noise like you would make at a dog but it didn’t scare her she thought it was funny. Morgan suggested making a scary noise and shaking the table so she wouldn’t wanna mess with it anymore ha maybe next time! I text my nana and said “I’m tired of babysitting your great granddaughter come get her!” With this picture attached lol she wrote back “on my way!” But she wasnt really.
The Gilpin’s came over after their dinner at grandmas house and grandma sent me some delicious purple hull peas fried okra and ham and jalapeño cornbread and hummingbird cake OMG! Yum! Food speaks to my soul y’all. But Raygen Elaine was wearing makeup and I could hardly look at her when she was talking to me I just felt like I was talking to a teenager. Amazing/scary what a little mascara can do.
Wednesday…more shopping?? Lol there are some things I saw on hobby lobby that I want to look at for our bedroom! Welllllll this has turned out to be an adventure! Got out in the rain (wasn’t raining at home) drove through thunder and lightening got a coffee….Found some perfect things and the power goes off and on like 3 times then OUT.
I was like uhhh what?? Kept thinking they would have back up generator but guess not. They made us all wait in the front of the store by the registers. We had the option to leave our basket and they would hold it or to wait. I waited for about twenty minutes maybe a little longer but Carolina was bored in one spot. So we left the basket with our name and headed to the car. I thought she would nurse and I would enjoy my coffee I left in the car…she nursed but wanted to stay awake!
After a few minutes of her sitting in my lap touching all the buttons I decided this wasn’t going to work. I brought her tv screen forward and sat her in the passenger side!
That worked for a good while! We were in the car for probably 45 minutes
Thankfully at this point I noticed lights come back on! Decided to make a run and we had a closer parking spot than before because everyone started leaving. Well we get inside and they aren’t letting people past the foyer because the registers aren’t working…so what?! Why can’t we shop. So at this point my time is really an investment so we wait in the foyer for almost 30 minutes. And this one trashy girl was vaping I kept moving and she was following me…seriously? So finally we get in the store and get our items and I get this baby home for a much needed nap…except I pull up to the gas pump at 2 MILES til empty. OMG. And we got home and she didn’t fall asleep until 3:30 but when she fell asleep she slept hard
We had family I’ve never met in town at my nanas house so after she woke up we headed over there to meet them

Thursday we stayed home all day and hardly talked to anyone! It was much needed after a busy week of going somewhere everyday. Crazy girl crawling in the basket
She kept getting mad and wanting me to get her out but then would crawl back in. After a couple times I ignored her and she found her own way out and stayed out lol she was exhausted and took a long nap

Dane had beautiful flowers delivered and brought home a bottle of wine which was perfect because I was making ravioli for dinner and it turned out delicious
I got my crystal knobs in the mail Friday and started changing them! I’m completely redoing Danes nightstand. I’ll probably do a separate post for all the bedroom stuff when it’s done because I like to be able to come back and find it easily. Friday we looked at two houses one was a bust and one was perfect but wrong location it was still in shoreacres and after flood insurance way too expensive. But we visited with Danes parents and she ate dinner and had a bath over there. Papa wanted to score some points by feeding her ice cream but she wasn’t interested lol
Saturday we did Christmas in July Saratoga style! We headed to the Gilpin’s and spend the day drinking iced coffee and morgan made pumpkin bread and we watched Christmas movies all day!

Baby besties
It was the kind of day my heart needed! Sunday we got flooring for our bedroom and picked up our bracelets from James Avery that we ordered! They were having their buy 2 charms get the bracelet free sale so I got the baby one for Christmas and myself one to start of Christmas charms only…I have wanted one forever!

I love how she walks with her arms out ready to land lol she’s been getting faster at walking it sometimes turns into a sprint mid walk and she stumbles into something to stop herself! But she knows her knees are her fastest method of transportation. I have to say though the past couple days she’s been walking just as much as she crawls!
This ones hilarious. I was feeding her cereal and it was a little lumpy so I squeezed some fresh milk in her cereal if you know what I mean and she was so offended after she saw the DQ out that she refused to eat anymore
