I’ll never forget something a nurse said to me in the hospital after I had Carolina. She had trouble latching so a nurse was helping me but Carolina was so comfy and warm next to me she couldn’t stay awake. So the nurse unwrapped her and took her away from me to wake her up and then she placed her back on my skin and said “there you go. The best place in the world, your mommy”
And almost three years later when I’m snuggling that baby girl it still feels like the best place in the world to me.
My, how she’s grown. I watch her learning new things, testing boundaries, trying to use new words and exploring her world of play and I’m so proud of her even just watching her eat a bowl of cereal. I love her dramatic “OHH NOO” 100000 times a day. I love her random moments of sweetness and watching her become interested and entertained by her baby brother.
