A sentimental birthday party!

When you walked in the door you were greeted with bubbles galore! We had the bubble machine going and they loved it

Goodie bags and B for beau so people can sign it. For Carolina’s first bday we did a book.

Goodie bags had chocolate pretzel rods my
MIL made and I made sugar cookies and got cute
Playdoh with bday stickers

As for our sentimental party we have their hospital footprints from the day they were born and the quilt my
Nana started in 2014 and I finished this year. We also used it for bday pics. It was the inspiration for the primary color theme

Birthday pics with a quote for each child. They were fitting.
Beau Michael: “little boys leave smudges on your heart”

Carolina June: “she’s all curls, giggles, rain boots and a heart full of mischief”

In the kitchen another sentimental touch was the tablecloth from beaus baby shower

We left little party hats and bazookas out, Carolina loves them!

First thing morning of the party she climbed up the table and was partying up!

And later she enjoyed a snack with a party hat before party time! She’s a party animal

Next up we have our cake table!

Sentimental touches include the chocolate cake with chocolate frosting which was clearly made with love because I’m no professional!  And just sweet pictures of my babies and my nanas southern living at home tiered tray. We had confetti cookies and cake bites

A pioneer woman dog on the cake because I loved puppies for both of my babies! They both had puppy wardrobe collections I cherish from their first year.

Sentimental behind the scenes photo: mama making stuffed jalapeños in my great granny’s celebration apron

Traditional birthday towel

We had strawberries, cream cheese with pepper jelly and crackers, chips.

My dress me up platter from Nana

On this end we had pizza Caesar salad and two kinds of stuffed jalapeños

Big bird apple juice and pink lemonade in Nanas cobalt blue pitcher

We sectioned off our dining room to make a place for the kids to play since the feel like temp was 110.

Outside we had a table covered in brown paper for the kids to be little Picasso! They could use chalk, playdoh crayons and had bubbles.

We also had a barn Piñata my mom got. I love this view from my kitchen window 🪟 ❤️

We had a blast. The kids loved it all. I was particularly very proud of Carolina June. It was a sentimental day and it was exactly what I wanted for them but for her in particular I wanted the focus to be her enjoying the day and not being overwhelmed or upset by too many people being here. We love all of our friends and extended family but a sentimental day where she could feel comfortable with her cousins as friends and let her personality shine was more important than inviting people out of obligation.

My beautiful nana with beau Michael. He knows her voice and recognized it as soon as she came in and came running! We talk all day everyday practically so he definitely recognizes her voice.

My pretty mama!

And uncle pawpaw with as he said “more balls than he’s used to having!”

Opening gifts was a blast because they are close enough in age it didn’t matter who’s gift we were opening they both enjoy it!

The Papa and the Pawpaw

Last year on Junies birthday candles when I was pregnant with beau we wished for better luck next year….

because her personality was so shy she was miserable at any social gathering….our wish came true!

I tried to keep the costs down and focus on the sentiment and it was everything I hoped for and more, and worth all the work for our babies.

Beaus 3rd bday cake of the month lol

After cake we had a blast hitting the piñata that seemed to never want to bust when you have sweat rolling down your back! We also gave uncle pawpaw his Father’s Day present since it was the day before and we wouldn’t see him the next day

The kids enjoyed the rest of their evening playing with their new toys. The hit of the party was the tea set from my mom and nana. They all flocked to it and even Beau liked it. It’s metal so I think he likes the noise and how small it is. Carolina also loved books and her giant horse from Nana. Beau liked the Elmo dressed as a dinosaur! They have plenty more to play with and that we didn’t bust out of the packages yet. ❤️ happy birthday babies
