Day 16!
Finally an elf shenanigan that didn't make them mad lol
Beau and his peppermint bark at 6:30 AM
It was western Christmas flannel day
This towel had to come home with me! I got another one for my bestie because MOM LIFE
Making carpet angels!
Precious ornaments Carolina brought home
She wanted to take my picture with her horse
"Say cheese!" We were taking turns spinning the horse around
Day 17! Christmas tree farm
I've started wrapping presents! Carolina got red paper and Beau got green.
Pretty sure this day was "snow out LP" so I just put her in a white shirt...I think the dress up days are fun but every single day was excessive in my opinion and interfered with our Christmas wardrobe
They brought this home from Sunday school. Carolina loved setting it all up. She even put baby Jesus with Joseph and Mary! Sweet girl
These are from their first Christmas. I matted them with red paper and framed them.
Carolina brought this in the bathroom while I was taking a bath and then took this picture of it. She's very specific about where to put the ornaments she puts them in the same place everytime! Not sure what her system is
Carolina has spent many of mornings sitting on the counter waiting for chocolate milk! I have a million pics of her like this...she's getting so big
Day 18
Beautiful curls
Even with how challenging Beau can be he is such a joy to be around. I need to try harder to make sure he knows how much we love him ❤️
Carolina was sad about her ripped picture so the elf taped it while she was at school
Christmas treats for teachers
Classmates
HOW CUTE! I was giddy to find this in her backpack
That night it was soooo cold! But Santa came on the fire truck so we stood outside and patiently waited! Daddy was out of town and missed this for the first time, so I was flying solo!
I threw panchos on them when we heard the siren
Hot chocolate and cookies
Two sweet babies in mamas bed
Dec 19th!
Class party day!
Beau and I met up with our besties. We had a little gift for mellie. The towel was a total inside joke!
And for Ellie
When I am telling the kids something and want them to "understand" I usually say "yes maam?" As in say yes maam so I know you understand. Wellllll beau misunderstood or maybe he didn't lol so now when he wants us to understand him at the end of his sentence he goes "yes maam mom?? Yes maam Carolina???" "Okay!"
Party time with big sis!
They were cracking up over Carolina's ice cream mustache
Passing out her class treats
Mrs Carrizal ❤️
The most random thing happened when I was carrying all the goodies inside. Somehow ants bit my wrist?!? I literally and to stop in the nurses office when i checked in and let her know im allergic and ask her to put something on them. Can you say embarrassing
My cousin Georgia sent me this adorable frame!! She remembered me complimenting her collection and thought of me this year. It was perfect for mine and Danes pic
Day 20! Last day before Christmas break. Elf showed up in our Christmas pictures!
Christmas Pajama day!
It's always pj day for beau lol I don't usually get him dressed to take her to school because I try to let him sleep
I took them for haircuts after school, it was early release for Carolina. I changed them out of pajamas
We all matched and everyone we saw commented on it haha
Carolina was proud of the braid Ms Shannon gave her
Took them awhile to find jingle bells Dec 21st!
That morning we went to a hardware store for pics with Santa and other activities.....
It did not go over well! If I had Dane with me I could have laughed about it but I was feeling very defeated because they (mainly beau) were not behaving well. At one point I snatched Beau Michael up by his Oshkosh overalls!
Since they were all prettied up i took them to five points for photos in front of the big tree
We had dennys for brunch afterwards. Later that evening momma was the mean ole grinch and picked up all their presents and locked them in beaus bedroom. They had been totally misbehaving. They knew not to touch presents and the Christmas tree and I had told them a million times to leave them alone. I walked in the living room and they were throwing them. I was LIVID!
They found a more appropriate game to play before bedtime!
Dec 22 daddy was home! We went to church.
My girl worshipping ❤️ she loves music
Jesus loves the little children πΌπ»
This moment with Carolina during worship *almost* makes up for her and her brother acting like dogs on the altar fetching crayons in their mouth and rolling them down the steps π
It's all fun and games until mama has to yank you up by your overalls in front of the congregation! LOL
Angel cookie pastor Doug made
It went along with the storybook his wife read the children. He gave them two each, they were supposed to keep one for themselves and one was to give away and tell the person they gave it to "unto us a savior is born"
They built gingerbread houses with jaelyn that night...beau struggled again with being told he couldn't just eat all the candy
He also went for the icing. I've had to tell his grandparents to lay off the sugar treats because it's getting way out of hand! I'm by no means strict about that but beau is truly addicted
Dec 23
10/10 do not recommend waiting until last minute to mail Santa letters like I did. My kids started naming stuff they haven't mentioned all season LOL! Thankfully I was able to guide them back towards stuff they had previously mentioned
Happy Christmas Eve Eve!! π
π»πͺπ₯π¦π₯♥️
Carolina cracks me up when I come across her random creations! I guess she decided she needed to accessorize her humidifier
Alone time while bubba naps
"I love my red!!" Soooo excited because she knows her presents are wrapped in red and beaus are green. She also helped me wrap one of beaus and there was a pink Minnie Mouse car with it (along with a red Mickey Mouse one) and she said "uhhhh mom...the pink one is sissy!" And I reminded her it was beaus present but she was convinced the pink was hers. I went ahead and cut it out and let her have it because they're both going to play with everything and at 4 it's hard to wrap a present for someone else without thinking of yourself. She then asked me to help her wrap it in red for her! Sweetest thing ever.
We had a special movie night and watched a movie called the star which is animated from a donkey's perspective about Jesus birth
My crazy granny bought one of these tin popcorn buckets every single year. It's one of the things I remember about Christmas at her house growing up. She also always had tinsel thrown on the tree. I call her crazy for a reason...but I've done a lot of therapy this year and I was finally able to honor a couple of her traditions. God is working on this mommas heart! He's not finished with me yet.
