On Friday December 18th Carolina June turned 6 months old!
I can’t believe my baby is 1/2 a year old! It is crazy to me. Six months just seems so big.
She loves: mommy’s milk. Her toes. Sucking on her sleeves and fingers. Playing with her silly daddy. Watching tv. Watching her puppy dogs. Jumping in her bouncer. Playing with her tiny Winnie the Pooh toys. Shaking her head “no”. Rolling over and fussing for me or daddy to come roll her back.
She hates: getting dressed!!! Especially when I pull her arms through. We have too many clothes for this drama lol and she really hates having her boogers sucked.
Something phenomenal happened for Carolina June’s first Christmas. We were able to see the Christmas Bethlehem star! December 21, 2020. How special that for all of the pandemic babies first Christmas God gave us such a special treat? Carolina was definitely our light of 2020. The star hasn’t been seen in 800 years. It’s so special for us to be able to see it in our lifetime, much less for my baby’s first Christmas! Here is a picture of it! I didn’t take one.

SANTA CLAUS COMES TONIGHT!
Three stockings y’all! I can’t explain it but Christmas Eve Dane and I were sitting in the living room waiting for Carolina to fall asleep and I was looking at the three stockings on my mantle and I told Dane I just felt content and didn’t think I wanted anymore children! All because of these three stockings 😂 I can’t explain the way my brain works. How can I sleep when my hair is a mess mommy?!
Much better! The note reads “dear Santa, mommy and daddy said I’m the best gift EVER!”
Hahaha I sat her up for a pic and she totally did this on her own it was not prompted! Stealing Santa’s cookies is a no no! “Dear Santa, I’ve been good all year no matter what the evidence suggests!”

The best Christmas ever! Here is what Carolina June thought about it :

We had a simple Christmas morning. Daddy had to go to work so we woke up at five and Santa brought:
Winnie the Pooh and his pal tigger. An Elmo dvd in her stocking and mommy and daddy got her a tummy time mirror. And the neighbors brought her some yummy baby food! And mommy and daddy got stockings too!
We put cinnamon rolls in the oven for daddy and went back to bed! When we woke up we got ready and played and daddy got off early so we went to his parents house before going to mine.

And an outfit change because we only wore this precious one once...wommmp Womp!
Cousins!
We didn’t stay long because we were doing our Christmas with them the next day.

THIS HAPPENED! It was part of my moms Christmas gift, she’s been dying for this girl to eat lol
Carrots, YUM! But Santa’s reindeer didn’t appreciate silly Carolina eating their carrots 🦌🥕
She likes the carrots I think. It was her first time eating so I didn’t expect too much and besides breast milk is still her main source of nutrition. Food before one is just for fun! I just let her explore and play with the spoon and food when she stopped showing interest in me feeding her.
We played a couple minute to win it games they were so funny! One of them you get 25 pennies and have one minute to make a tower with your dominant hand behind your back! Sounds easy but was much harder than I expected! I got a strategy down and won lol and the next you had to pick up candy canes with a candy cane from your mouth! That one was very hard! Me and mom both got four, then Dane and uncle leslie both got 5! So they had to do a challenge round lol dane got seven! They were really playing hard because they kept biting down and breaking their candy canes haha Dane won.
Poor Carolina June has had a very snotty nose and we have been having to hold her down and suck her boogers which she HATES! And let’s face it mommy and daddy hate it too. Daddy really hates it he teared up when I made him help me but mommy’s have the tough jobs. Reminds me of a quote from my favorite movie steel magnolias:
“I find it amusing, men are supposed to be made out of steel or something”
Poor baby. We had a rough night she couldn’t breathe and was making all these weird noises and stuff I’ve never heard before. Literally broke my heart for her. We didn’t get much rest because she kept crying out and whimpering in her sleep. Her little voice didn’t sound the same.
The next morning she seemed better and we did our last celebration of the season! Carolina loves her Ella 💗 Ella was my baby girl when we got engaged and she was our flower girl so these moments warm my heart!

Carolina wasn’t into it just yet! She would much rather eat the Dairy Queen and snooze!

A teething elephant! I like to name her pacis and such this little elephant says it’s name is Kiki but we’re thinking of going with either Georgia or Ella lol
Her Santa bag is so cute! She got a DVD player for the car and a swing for the garage.
She loves her uncle Dustin too! He calls her cheeks
And of course she loves aunt Katy because of how expressive she is! Carolina is very expressive too.
Overall we had a very blessed Christmas. Here is a picture of a carousel my nana got for Carolina. She loves it and wants to put it in her mouth lol I think we are going to get a shelf to put it on in her room
MawMaw got her some hoodies and a little pants outfit that she needed because all of hers are too small and in Texas the cold has just begun! It will be hoodie weather likely until April.
