Sleep in heavenly peace....yeah right!

All this mama wants for Christmas is a silent night and to sleep in heavenly peace! LOL

Christmas service/ communion at church! I had to walk little miss fussy butt almost the whole time but it was great I enjoyed it. And the self reflection was much needed.

Where did your beard go dada?

There was so much stress in my own heart for this to be the best Christmas ever, for our daughter. I had set expectations and hopes way too high especially for 2020. I had my breaking point today when I made my husband change a million times before church because it wasn’t “perfect”. I AM NOT PERFECT! I have been making the holidays unenjoyable, focusing on the wrong things  and haven’t had the Christmas spirit but there are 5 days left and I’m focusing on altering my own attitude and making Carolinas first Christmas unforgettable just by remembering the fact that she is our MIRACLE and being present and letting Christmas be simple! We don’t need anything else for it to be special.

Speaking of miracles, Monday we headed to nanas to work on a Christmas miracle together! I never bought her a stocking and decided it would be special if me and my nana made her one together, and to make it even more special we used my dads jeans to make it and a piece of red material that we made a Christmas apron out of when I was a little girl! Carolina helped by taking a great long nap!

Loving her beautiful toes!

Tuesday daddy got off early and we did a little Christmas shopping! Carolina didn’t feel like taking pics lol

She decided she did not like that outfit and spit up all over it! Not to worry we have plenty of Christmas clothes

Much better!

We went to the Disney store and a couple other places and then decided to go get some yummy bbq since our side of town doesn’t have a good bbq place. My expressive little shopper just hangin with mama and daddy!

Carolina decided she wanted a new wardrobe change because she had a blowout this time! Really kid?!
Not to worry, pink Santa comin right up!
Sleeping beauty on the way home.

Carolina has not been sleeping good. So neither has mommy! She wants to sleep on her side but is a little front heavy and rolls on her belly and gets BIG MAD! And then she’s just a half asleep screaming wild animal who doesn’t have a clue what she wants. And obviously when that happens all I can do is nurse her even if she just ate five minutes ago. We are tired around here lol paisley is tired of having a sibling who forces her to be an outside dog.

Wednesday morning I was nursing Carolina and her nose was so snotty she sounded like a little piggy snorting! So I decided to use the syringe thing to relieve her some but it wasn’t getting what was really back there the suction wasn’t powerful enough so I have this other one that has a mouth piece and you suck it out- the things we do for our children! So Dane got up and got it for me and ohhhh she was mad because she fell back asleep and woke up to me sucking her brains out. When I was done I rocked her and her little eyes were closing and then I don’t know what happened but all of a sudden she was wide eyed and  she was smiling and ready to play. Uuhhh it’s 4 AM Carolina.

I left her in bed with Dane who was back asleep and she just laughed and played with her feet I got up and cleaned house lol if I’m wide awake I’m getting stuff done. But then I heard Dane turn the light off and set his phone down so I guess she fell asleep and he was wondering where I’d gone. So I slipped into bed and surprisingly was able to fall asleep.

Wednesday actual morning my best friend came over to work from home. My home lol her internet wasn’t working. She brought her daughter and Carolina loves her and smiles at her all the time. Haven played well with her while she was here

And Haven even picked out her outfit! What’s funny is this outfit went together but it was all in different places but she found it! She commented on Carolinas boppy pillow which is pink with giraffes and I told her how cute it was and she picked out one of my favorite outfits...pink and aqua giraffes!

This outfit gives me inspiration for her 1st birthday! I know that’s weird but the weirdest things give me ideas lol

We hung out for a while but then decided to go see nana. We helped finish her stocking and we were able to help with the tail end of baking cookies nana did all the hard work! We of course had to change into Christmas attire first

My uncle painted the door on my moms side of the house green and I was in awe when I got there so I took this picture. It screams “welcome home”

“Home is not a place, it’s a feeling” I spend most of my days here with the ones I love most. There is always food and iced coffee but most importantly there’s always a helping hand and I have a heart full of gratitude for this stage in life. We are making precious moments that will turn into memories.
