Favorite mommy moment: rocking Carolina to sleep in her room. I love when the lights are out, her sound machine is on and it’s just me and her. We nurse and rock and cuddle. She fits me perfectly. She is the most cuddly baby she just melts into me. Sometimes her eyes flutter open and shut before she goes to sleep but she looks up at me and sees me looking at her and knows she is safe and drifts to sleep. 

I love kissing the little spot right in between her smile and her cheeks 

My flowers are blooming so pretty! The freeze didn’t bother them they are snap dragons and prefer cold weather 

Tuesday we went shopping for some first birthday stuff!! Let me tell y’all...never again will I pick a theme out of the air without shopping around first because my whole lavender and yellow Winnie the Pooh has been difficult to bring together! Next year I will shop in person to see what colors and such are popular so it will be easier to bring my theme to life. She was a very good shopper just real tired 

She took a snooze in the car and we went back in to try and make some decisions! I think I’m going to add some more color to her party...I’m not positive but I bought some material to play around with. I think these colors look super cute together and have potential to work with my ideas lol 

Carolina June’s day quickly went downhill when we got home. I didn’t know if it was teeth or the fact she hadn’t gone potty or just fussy phase from the leap she is in. That night we tried to put her to bed several times. By 9:37 Dane brought her to our room and it was every hour from that point on. I was either holding her rocking her nursing her or giving her gripe water / teething tablets. Nothing seemed to help and she started coughing and having a snotty nose. The theme continued into nap time the next day....

Got her to sleep...laid her in her crib where she woke up but was quiet so I just watched from the glider....well she saw me 

So I got her up and she went potty I was hoping she would be happy...and she was as long as she was doing whatever she wanted wherever she wanted how ever she wanted! I think she must have allergies or a little cold because she doesn’t feel very good at all! 

That night Danes parents came over because they had been walking and needed a break haha Carolina enjoyed it and got some good laughs while they were here! The next day carolina stayed busy including a surprise visit from my mom! 

If you look at the bottom of the pic you can see Carolina has her foot up on top of the toy as if she’s going to climb! Time to push everything on the window sill back! 

I laid her down and attempted to work on some bday party crafts she laid down awake for a little bit but she wanted to help mommy....she climbed for the first time to try and get the laptop! 

The next day she stayed pretty busy too...she runs a tight schedule 

It’s funny if you think about it...what on earth would baby’s do if mommy’s weren’t there to keep them alive every five seconds when they have another bright idea!

My little burrito baby has a runny nose and I sucked her snot which she hates! I had to swaddle her so she couldn’t fight me. 

It’s Ok mommy....just don’t do it again 

If you promise I’ll just close my eyes for a second....

She slept from 7-9 in my arms because she was swaddled and I wasn’t expecting her to fall asleep. So when she woke up a little I changed her diaper and put pjs on her and nursed her to sleep in her room, she sang me songs haha 

that was about 9:30 and my sweet girl slept in her bed until 4:15 and only nursed twice in our bed! I’ll take that any day over her normal sleep routine lol
