This little almost 17 month old is loving carrying a handful of things this week. She just walks around with about three toys in her hand and carries them close to her chest. Here’s my Cinderella june in her precious lounge

We went to see nana and aunt Chylon and B! And uncle pawpaw and fisher were there too lol my mom was working. Carolina is funny and bashful right now and it turns into a game. You look at her and she runs and hides. At least she isn’t crying anymore. Also I put some hummus on my finger and put it in her mouth to try and she cried for five mins and kept wiping her tongue HAHA. She took her nap on B.
I think we’re gonna take pics this weekend! So it’s Thursday as i type this I need to figure out what we’re all gonna wear lol Carolina June was wild last night Dane and I both attempted to feed her yogurt since she didn’t eat dinner. She took a few bites but she was bouncing off the walls the furniture laughing at everything and nothing. We were just scratching our heads wondering where the energy burst came from lol

Wednesday night we decided to really try and make Carolina stay in her crib. We were both in the mindset emotionally to stick to our decision. It’s easy to decide in the middle of the night the night before when you’re frustrated and tired but then when the next night comes you just wanna go pick up your baby. We laid her down at 8 something and she slept til a little after 9. Dane soothed her back to sleep and came to bed, 10 seconds later she was crying and I told him to turn down the monitor and get in bed. She cried for probably 20 minutes or so and went to sleep and slept til after 4! We let her cry again and it took about the same time maybe longer and I went to check on her when she got quiet to make sure she fell asleep in a safe position and she heard my foot steps and popped up! She apparently was not asleep. I quickly dodged her room it was dark she didn’t see me only heard footsteps. Then I felt awful because she cried another 10-15 minutes. But she slept until almost 7! I was so proud of her when Dane brought her to me and told her to enjoy her boobie milk
Thursday we went to bath and body works to get a pick me up for our best MoMo! Her pawpaw passed away and she’s so upset. Carolina June was a decent shopping buddy lol
Friday we drove to cove to pick up Shelby and her girls who were going with us to Morgan’s and then we all headed to Morgan’s. Carolina was SO UPSET in the car and only slept for 20 minutes. & of all the times for pregnancy nausea to hit me like a ton of bricks, it picked when I’m in the car jumping back and forth from front seat to backseat. It was a fun day but also a llloonnnggg day. We laughed a lot but I just hate making Carolina sit in the car so long. We forward faced her for the ride home and it helped to cove but not from cove to my house. Either way we got the goods to Morgan’s so mission accomplished

Saturday morning after another successful night in her bed
Dane worked and I was having a poker party with a group of girls I’ve been playing cards with for about 10 years. We ran to Walmart to get a couple things and this is her pointing at Christmas blow ups
After her long nap! She was super helpful to me by taking a nap so I could get things done for the party

We had a wonderful time playing cards! I laughed until I cried and ate so much food and even won a hand. I was exhausted from getting ready for it but it was so worth it. Dane brought her home to me so I could nurse her and oh my gosh when she came in and saw and heard all the loud ladies she clung to me! I couldn’t even get in position to nurse her because she wouldn’t let go haha Carolina attempted to spend the night with Danes mom because she fell asleep over there but she called Dane at 3 AM to come get her because she woke up at 1 and couldn’t get back to sleep. I made her promise she would not let her cry. It’s one thing for Carolina to cry in her own bed when she’s just being a turd because she wants to nurse it’s another to cry when you wake up somewhere you aren’t used to being. She was probably confused and thought she had taken a nap and was looking for mommy and daddy. So Dane brought her home I nursed her and she went to her bed.
Sunday morning she watched toy story 2
and I got out my old woody doll. She was so suspicious of him it was hilarious

We went down the road to Pam’s for kolaches and she fell asleep for a early little nap
When she woke up she ate snacks and some lunch and played and then we took her home and she was helping Dane put up laundry and smashed her finger. Made me so sad. I heard her cry and knew she hurt herself.
I had her nurse and hold a bag of frozen green beans. She ended up falling asleep and I was shocked! I didn’t think she would take a second nap. We slept in the recliner for a little bit but I was getting a crick in my neck and she was all sweaty so I took her to our bed. She slept for two hours! I dozed off a lot during that time but didn’t stay asleep. I’m a horrible napper but if I can even fall asleep at all in the middle of the day, just know I’m exhausted! I crawled out of bed to get food and Dane kept checking on her. She finally woke up and she was starving! She ate a bowl of applesauce two graham crackers and another bowl of cereal with applesauce! We watched Winnie the Pooh she’s really into one of the movies right now. It’s the one from when I was little. Dane went to Home Depot with my uncle to get lumber. She is obsessed with being on the couch now
Sunday night would have been night 5 of successful sleep training…but me and Dane were in for a BIG SURPRISE. She was asleep, Dane laid her down she woke up and cried (like normal) he walked away and pulled the door shut but not all the way-like every night. He walked in our room took off his glasses his pants got into bed we both said “man sounds like she is getting soooo much louder!” But you know she always pushes the door open and screams down the hallway at us lol .5 seconds later our bedroom door was pushed open and marched in our angry toddler. Can you say shocked?!? First we jumped up and grabbed her to make sure she was okay. Second we went to her bedroom to see if there were any clues to how she got out of her bed. Third we couldn’t stop laughing because we were in disbelief! Carolina said “nope! I ain’t doing it tonight” and she got her way she slept with us because we were too freaked out to put her in her bed.
She seemed perfectly fine and a little proud of herself. She turned belly over and went to sleep without any assistance.
But this was my face when she marched in my room at 10 PM.
The next day Dane lowered her crib because it turned out it could go down one more setting. I was skeptical it would make a difference but also not ready to put Carolina in a toddler bed. Dane was off Monday and helped uncle pawpaw with the deck and papa came over too. Carolina was so upset everytime she saw them outside and couldn’t go that we ended up calling Pam and going shopping. It was too hard to be home when she was doing nothing but crying
Still so weird to look back and actually see her face in the car
We wore her out she fell asleep on the way home. She also ate a bunch of food at lunch
She took a nap on my bed because…what’s the point of her bed she climbs out either way lol but she woke up and sat outside with us

Monday Carolina smashed her finger again! She is obsessed with closing doors and drawers and caught her finger in the closet door
I was nervous about bedtime but every time she cried I watched the monitor until she fell back asleep that way if she started to climb I could run in. She never tried. Only once was she even standing and she was quiet because I grabbed the monitor the second she started crying and she was already standing and she laid down when she started to cry. So I’m not sure what she was doing while standing. We had a successful no climb night! But that day…was tough. Fought her nap hard and I put her in the crib and this little turd had it figured out had I not ran in and told her no she would have been out of the crib! Put my child in her bed because she was 100% just fighting it. She immediately pulled herself up on the rail and used her tiny monkey feet to climb up the slats and threw the knee on top. I ran in there and told her no and stopped her but she can 100000000% still get out. Not sure what to do now because it’s as low as it will go. This was her mood Tuesday lol
But she had some highlights

She didn’t want me to feed her so I let her feed herself
She definitely wore more than she ate but I was impressed by how well she did scooping the food and putting the spoon in her mouth. And she would smack after she took the spoon out and go “mmmm”
