15 weeks

Santa baby!

Feeling: busy! Not much time this week to have any symptoms I notice. Other than I’m going to the bathroom a couple times a night again! Don’t miss those sleepy walks haha

Craving: I got a hot n spicy chicken sandwich from McDonald’s the other day and I loved every bite but felt sick after!

Merry Christmas 2021

Merry Christmas Eve in Texas! It was 83 degrees

So many Christmas outfits but too hot to wear them

She is the SWEETEST baby! I love her so much. This age is fun and challenging with her little personality. Christmas Eve was nothing fancy at our house but things don’t have to be fancy to be special! We ran a couple errands, we rested we played on the deck we gave our emotional toddler the grace she needed during this busy holiday season

I feel like as moms trying to make everything magical we get such high expectations and our kids are still our kids, Carolina is still sensitive sassy emotional bashful and still 18 months old rather it’s Christmas or not. We went to Danes parents house for shrimp creole for dinner

We read Christmas books

And we went home to bake cookies and do all the preparation for the next morning! Helping mama make Christmas crack

Cookies for Santa

Last year VS this year

Got her to sleep and stayed up wrapping presents!

Santa came!

Christmas morning coffee waiting on our girl to wake up!

She loved her kitchen and we could hardly get her to open another present which had her pots and pans in it! She was content with the kitchen and it’s two ice cubes haha.

Opening her stocking with daddy

Powdered donuts while we wait for nana MawMaw and uncle pawpaw to get here for breakfast!

Then Carolina realized there were more presents to open even though they weren’t hers! Lol

We made breakfast tatertot casserole and cookies and Christmas crack and nana made French toast bake and brought fruit!

Carolina ate some breakfast she mainly liked the French toast bake

She was very overwhelmed when my family got there and didn’t want to be the center of attention but she is! She opened a couple presents and then was having a meltdown and hit her head and just needed some mommy milk and fell asleep! Everyone else opened their presents while we watched a Christmas story and then they left and let Carolina nap.

It was pretty early for her to take a nap compared to our normal day but it just goes to show how overwhelmed she was with our busy morning!

When she woke up and realized everyone was gone she was ready to pick up where she left off but I did most of the opening. She loved all of her gifts but I felt bad that my parents didn’t get to watch her open them.

Next we got ready to go to Danes parents for tamales and lots of other Mexican goodies including sopapilla cheesecake! I love non traditional Christmas food! We had chips and salsa and Spanish rice and beans and fajitas. Carolina was still pretty emotional but played well by herself. She just gets so overwhelmed when there’s a bunch of people around

She took another nap

When she woke up I sat under the kitchen table with her it’s her safe place and she ate my sopapilla cheesecake!

But she is a daddy’s girl for sure she wanted him the moment she saw him

We tried getting her to open just one present

But just daddy!

She was happy to be home and in a diaper and play with her toys!

She slept good and the next morning we had another celebration at Danes parents! Breakfast this time.
We opted to stay in pjs and comfy clothes

This was her interest in presents lol

So as I mentioned above under the kitchen table is her safe place so I took her under there to eat.

Well as we’re sitting under there Eva wanted to come eat her cookie with her. She said she wanted a piece of Carolinas quiche so I gave it to her and next thing I know she said “I feel like I’m gonna frow up” I was like oh goodness trapped under the table I tried grabbing a napkin or something close and she tried so hard to hold it in but on the third gag I just held out my hands because poor baby had green bubbles coming out of her mouth! I yelled for Dane to come grab Carolina so she wasn’t playing in vomit while I was washing my hands. Eva was fine she just has an ear infection and lots of mucus and I think mixed with the huge green sugar cookie it made her sick!

Everyone was ready for nap when we got home

The rest of the night was for new pjs and toys

We had a blessed Christmas, hard to believe it’s our last as a family of three with just her. It seems like these celebrations only just began and next year we will be adding beau to the mix.
