Happy girl with her muffins Monday morning!
She’s happy so long as you feed her immediately lol then the bowl goes on the head!
She had the perfect day Monday. My heart needed it. She woke up happy she ate well all day she never once cried or had a tantrum. Perfect day! Her hair has been so straight because of the cold weather I told Dane maybe it’s her curls that make her mean, they must be wound to tight! Haha.
She even walked around eating a peanut butter sandwich like ok who’s this big girl and where’s my baby?!
We can’t take her seriously with her straight hair lol it just doesn’t look like our kid! But she comes by her tantrums honest, gets it from her mama!
I have no idea what she’s eating but I documented her climbing on the couch by herself. She’s had the ability for a long time just not the determination.
Tuesday morning WAFFLES! She loves these little mini cinnamon waffles.
Teasing and sharing her peanut butter sandwich with the dogs.
Playing on the deck with daddy and his radio
Just hanging out topless because she stole Danes Dr Pepper off the table and spilled it
Wednesday morning miss independent eating yogurt!
We got off to a rough start because she woke up before me so I hadn’t had a chance to decide her breakfast or have it ready for as soon as she’s up. Or have my coffee! She was super busy and a little fussy on and off so when she’s like that I like to leave the house. Thankfully I needed some big belly clothes and soaps and stuff from Walmart so we went for an adventure
We got cfa when we left and she thought she was a big girl
Then this happened
I think the thing I feared most about our breastfeeding journey just happened…not knowing when would be the last time. Sunday we cut out our morning feed with no problems. The past two nights after less than five minutes she has stopped and crawled off the bed and gone to find Dane to put her to bed. That only left our nap time feed. Just now she pulled off after 2 seconds went and got some goldfish and then crawled up in my lap and fell asleep on her own. So now I’m left with tears in my eyes wondering if the last time was the last time and trying to let go of the last almost 19 months with grace and a thankful heart. I know it was time but it doesn’t make it any easier.
Thankfully for my mama heart she woke up very upset and wanted to nurse. I tried to stare at her the whole time so that if it is the last time at least I soaked it in. Playing like a big girl in the recliner…a wild big girl
That night we got ready for bed and I laid down with her to nurse and just as soon as she latched she unlatched and crawled off the bed to go find Dane Michael. She gets down opens the door and prances down the hall. MISS PRISS. So Dane put her in her bed. Thursday morning waffles! I got myself up before her even though I was groggy and stumbled to the kitchen and made my coffee and threw her waffles in the toaster so they would be ready the second she woke up. She gets MAD if I don’t greet her with food!
I drank my coffee
and ate a nice breakfast and was still just so tired my eyes were burning and heavy I could not shake it
I went ahead and got a roast in the crockpot. One of my favorite meals and this better be good because roasts are a delicacy in 2022, 20 dollars! I add carrots, potatoes, onion and 1 pack of each of these: zesty Italian seasoning, ranch seasoning, brown gravy seasoning or the au jus seasoning whichever I have on hand. Then I usually put a stick of butter on top but I was out so I just put two heaping tablespoons of country crock butter and a few pepperoncinis on top! It’s sooooo delicious
Tired but winning! Carolina ate her snack of strawberries off the floor though, so it’s all about balance.
I was eating my lunch and had a couple spicy pickles and gave her a bite of carrot because she was asking for something. Well she did not want the carrot she gave it back to me and grabbed a pickle! She ate the whole thing too.
It was a long struggle to get a small nap out of her but she got one and so did I! Eating a banana, little monkey. She wanted the peel too so I had to take it out lol
Mad because she wanted to feed herself
Dinner was SOOOOO GOOD
Carolina ate one bite of carrot no potatoes but loved the roast, little piggy! Shortly after dinner I went downhill and went to bed. Carolina stayed up with daddy that’s the advantage of her loving him so much and no longer needing to nurse to sleep. Through the night I felt so much sicker and at one point felt delirious the room looked foggy and my heart was racing I was hot cold hot cold. I woke Dane up and told him maybe I was having a panic attack but that I felt awful and to please stay home the next day because I was wondering if I had flu or covid. He said he would call his boss when his alarm went off. So thank God he stayed home and i woke up still feeling terrible so I was able to go back to bed for a couple hours and felt a little better. We decided to both get swabbed for covid which was extremely hard to do seeing as there are no available appointments for a test that aren’t a week out and by then why bother and there are no home tests available period -sold out. We ended up finding a shady place in seabrook in the same parking lot as a shell station and best western motel that we drove up to and they give you the swab to do yourself and you get results in 2 hours. We were both negative!
I also ruled out flu because my symptoms would come and go and by the end of the night I was feeling better than I had been feeling just a normal amount of sick. So I don’t have any pics of Carolina we spent the day resting and doing a 2 hour search for Danes keys because he let June play with them and they were ultimately found in the bottom of the trash can. Dane Michael went and got me a hot n spicy chicken sandwich and French fries from McDonald’s at the end of the night because I was feeling very hungry finally! Saturday morning I woke up feeling even better and RESTED. I think that’s half the reason I felt so horrible the day before was I didn’t get any rest. Dane got me some orange juice and I woke up and had that instead of my coffee.
Our power went out at two from a STRONG burst of lightning and Carolina had been in a mood all day so we finally decided to take her out of the house to run one quick errand and before we even left the neighborhood she was screaming over something to do with a mr potato head she was playing with in the back seat so we took her to Pam’s instead. She was happy played with her cousin and in a perfect mood well thanks for only being a butthead to your parents. We still didn’t have power at like 8 so she had a bath and and got pjs on over there too
Sunday we got her dressed we were gonna go have brunch and it was POURING DOWN rain so we went to Pam’s again so she could play with jojo
I CANT EVEN WITH HER PERFECT PIGGIES
She loves to unvelcro her shoes
We got drenched and it made her piggies not like whale spouts anymore she just had tight curls all over but when it finally dried it looked soooo pretty
My little sour patch kid
