The weird week after Christmas

 We’ve had an emotional week with Carolina (well longer than a week but this week felt long!) I was so off on my days and thought we had two more days off with Dane and then he reminded me it was Sunday and he had work tomorrow. Kinda ruined the plans I had for his next imaginary two days off lol toot head eating puffs Monday morning 

Playing peekaboo she thought it was hilarious and so did I. 

Deck time is exhausting 

This is how daddy’s girl insisted on doing HEB! She is a mess

I didn’t want to do anything! But I mustered up the energy to clean up. I always feel better with a very tidy house. I have too much anxiety for messes. 

She feels like such a big girl when I let her sit alone on the furniture 

I taught her to blow kisses! 

FULL of sass on Wednesday 

She was happy running errands but just so funny with her stinker attitude 

She took a nap for a hot second in the car and was recharged 

I tried and tried to get her to go to sleep and she didn’t fall asleep until 5 GREAT! Then she slept til after 6 and wouldn’t go to bed that night. She kept getting on and off our bed and running around our room. She loves to throw herself on the floor on pillows and blankets. Dane finally just laid her in her bed at 11 and she whined for a minute played with Minnie and went to sleep. Thursday morning we were on the deck bright and early after a few tantrums. She thinks we need to nurse the second she wakes up if don’t walk straight to the recliner and nurse she screams. This morning I made coffee first. I gave her a cookie so she would be content and she got chocolate in her hand and was trying to get it off so I handed her a towel and showed her how to wipe it she threw the towel and then herself she is a major fit thrower lol 

We went shopping for some overalls for her 18 month pics and didn’t find any what a bummer. 

She fell asleep right when we we’re pulling up for lunch. I brought her in thinking I would hold her while she slept but that didn’t happen. Thankfully she woke up and enjoyed gringos. She loves Tex mex

I’m not sure what happened in 1 minute. Maybe I looked at her wrong lol another late late nap and I didn’t even care 

These two have a love hate relationship. June loves paisley and paisley hates June lol

Friday morning…another day another obstacle course 

Daddy got off early! Peanut butter sammiches for lunch 

I love when she’s sleeping! 

Happy New Year’s Eve! We went to eat t bone toms and ran to target. Super exciting haha 

She was mad that daddy handed her to me while he closed the garage. 

& at target only he could push the basket not me! Dane even took her in the men’s restroom with him HAHA! They are best pals and he takes it like a champ and I think he even likes it. Here she is riding her new Minnie Mouse helicopter 

Happy New Years! New year, same hot mess!

We ran to Walmart and she was a big daddy’s girl lol but mommy is good for sleeping

Helping daddy put together his new pit. She loves her new shoes she was stomping around in them and playing with the flowers and Velcro. 

We went to Danes parents for dinner because we were going to grill pork chops and they already had. Carolina played so good and had such a good time. It felt good to be over there with all the Christmas stuff put up and no extra people making her cry. The holiday season was super overwhelming for us! 

Courtesy of Uncle Pawpaw! I might be 27 years old but I informed him this morning that as long as he’s living he’s responsible for my New Years dinner….his response was it was the first day of the year and I was already harassing him 😂 spoiled growing up with the best cook!!!

When I got home from eating my cabbage and black eye peas with my family she was in the garage helping daddy. She didn’t want me and did not want to come inside so Dane kept her. Every 2 seconds I heard “no!” “Stop!” I was laughing so hard because that’s what it’s like trying to do anything with her! 

She came in and looked like a little grease monkey so we had a bath and played with paisley before bed 

These pitiful two Sunday morning 

Having a meltdown over her hat amongst other things we didn’t understand haha 

We were trying to let her play outside 

Just too cold that morning. Her meltdown turned into a early nap 

Later we ran an errand it was a little warmer 

The cold hair made her hair straight and it was so funny to me for her to not have curls I couldn’t stop laughing 

Okay finally I feel like she’s my child! I LOVED and still do love mandarin oranges (really anything citrus) as a child I ate oranges so much they told me I was going to turn into one! Well I finally got her to try them and she ate a whole cup and some mini cinnamon waffles. 

Having a tea party while mama makes dinner! We had pork chops mashed potatoes and Mac n cheese. No veggies tonight, oops. 

She fell asleep in the recliner with me before 9 which was early for her it was a bit of a struggle to get her to sleep in her bed but we knew she was tired because she fell asleep twice in the living room. She needed her beauty rest!
