Roses Tulips and Tibbetts: Little Nanny

October 25th we got up and got the kids ready, stopped at walmart and ate breakfast and then headed to the lake to celebrate 86 years of little nanny! Beau skinned his knee (barely) but was so tired and telling me he needed a Doctor. He told Carolina "Lina I got ouchie" Lina said "it's okay bobo we'll find you a Dr right now"

They fell asleep literally RIGHT before we got there! Beau acted like he was on crack the whole way and was throwing a fit to get out of the car seat. We brought tablets and color papers and things to entertain them but they just "enjoyed" the drive. They kept asking "where are we?"

The hotel was soooo pretty! I love all the scroll work it is definitely my style

They were funny on the elevator. They didn't love it!

What they did love was the corded phone in our room!LOL

We ended up unplugging our phone because they kept playing with it

After daddy brought all our bags up!

I unloaded all of our snacks. But before I did it was hilarious because they were opening the fridge and cabinets and said "oh no! It's empty!"

We got ready and went to dinner at a local steakhouse

We got dessert to go and took them

Back to the room and bathed them and ate our cake when they fell asleep lol On our way back from dinner Carolina had her window down and started screaming about her horse. It was dark and we are on winding hill roads. We were so frustrated because it's a highway and we didn't think we would be able to find it. We told her we would try but that it was dangerous and we may not be able to. We go to turn around and I'm like let me make sure it's not on the floorboard or side of the seat. Praise God there it was! And I was cracking up. I told Carolina I was sorry that I made a mistake and thought it was out the window. She also started to laugh and was like noooo down there! And like waving me off with her hand. I went into the dollar store and Dane told me she was still laughing and saying dadddyyyy horsey was on the floor!

It took awhile to get them asleep in a strange place and we ended up all in the same bed

Beau slept in!

Carolina got up and sat on the balcony with us.

Time for breakfast and daddy made a Texas waffle

After we ate we got ready for little nanny's service

These geese were hilarious! Just when things were heavy and emotional all of these geese waddled out and honked to their hearts content. We died laughing

Nanny's favorite colors were pink and red. I got beau a deep red bow tie to wear to match Danes shirt.

It was a hot beautiful day and a beautiful service. I got up and told a couple good ones on Nanny! I'm just glad lighting didn't strike me!

We all went afterward to have a Cajun style lunch in honor of nanny's Louisiana roots

It was a hot day for late October. Afterwards we went to the hotel so beau could nap but he didn't. So we got up went to Walmart looked forever for swimsuits towels sunscreen and clothes for swimming since some of the cousins decided to go to the lake only for both kids to fall asleep in the car on the way to the lake house. And nobody was swimming when we got there. Oooookay! So we took everything back to Walmart when we left. We left the rental house where everyone was early because Carolina kept complaining of a tummy ache. She could barely go poop and I told Dane she had been holding it because of the long car rides I guess. It made for a miserable night and a long ride home. I also bought her some miralax to put in her cup while I was at Walmart

OMG. Dane and I were sitting on the balcony that night. I'm scared of heights and had already told Dane the rails freaked me out. They have metal tables and chairs. Well all of the sudden I feel a vibration in my chair and I grabbed the table and made the most terrible horrific face because I was like OMG we're fixing to fall off the balcony! My husband is DYING LAUGHING. The vibration I felt came from his chair where he had just let out a huge fart! We laughed for probably an hour on and off!

On the way home we stopped several times to try to let Carolina go potty. We offered her a toilet or to walk around in her pull up. I tried bending her legs. We gave her tons of apple and pear juice!
