Carolina's birthday pictures

My polka dot puppy girl

This birthday was so emotional. It was full circle. My sweet boy turned 2, which is the age Carolina turned a few days after we brought him home. To see him running around and so BIG but also realizing he's still such a baby compared to Carolina really just made me realize how LITTLE she still was when he came home and my sweet girl had to start sharing mommy and daddy.

Words could never express how I feel about this little girl. If only she could read the words of my heart. We're so proud of her and all the connections she's made. She's started talking SO MUCH! This summer her personality has just blossomed over night along with her vocabulary.

For her birthday we surprised her with a dollhouse. I put a blanket over it and told her it was a surprise! It made us so happy to give it to her. Carolina melted my heart. The next day I was doing dishes and she came and got me with a very excited and sweet demeanor and said "mommmmyyyyy...suuurrpprriiseee!!" And brought me to her dollhouse. She had put a blanket over it and wanted me to open it. It was so sweet that she wanted to reenact her birthday and make me happy the way we made her happy.

When she's happy she says "If your happy clap clap"

I tell her she's my baby she says "nooo baby BO!" "I not baby I SISSY!" She's been calling herself sissy

She's been Covering ears when she doesn't like the tv show "my ears" or sometimes she will even say it hurts her ears LOL she also puts  Binocular hands over her eyes when she's looking for something

Singing the gospel in the backseat. I listen to bluegrass gospel and Christian music almost 24/7, Carolina has an ear for music. She can sing the actual words to these songs better than she can talk. It's the sweetest sound.

I'm FOUR!

I blinked, and you grew.

I vowed not to let it

Pass me by this quickly.

I actively savoured,

Cherished, and relished,

Just like they told me I should.

I thought I’d been keeping

My eyes wide open

This entire time.

But I guess, I blinked.

I wasn’t ready,

And I blinked.
