Sometimes when you're tripping over toys trying to make your 3rd cup of coffee you have to stop and thank God for the things that are inconveniencing you.
Lord, thank you for the mess.
Thank you for the house to clean, thank you for the food to prepare. Thank you for the dog causing problems that my kids love so much. Thank you for all the time I don't have to myself because five years ago this is all I ever wanted. It's a privilege to be a mom and a wife, please prune all the parts of me that outwardly show burden, irritation and impatience towards my family and make me more like you. I don't always steward my home and family with grace and love and I take for granted that in spite of all my imperfections you still saw it fit to make ME a mother.
So thank you Lord for a family I love so much it hurts, thank you for tiny hands grabbing gorgeous huge strawberries that you provided us off the counter faster than I can clean and cut them🍓
