ARD/Danes week off

Time to get up! Carolina June picked these Christmas pajamas the night before...lol I can't even it's Easter girl! But red is one of her favorite colors and she loves the reindeer. They are probably not gonna fit this year at Christmas again so I let her wear them

The prettiest itty bitty girl wearing last years Easter outfit! I was so glad I pulled it out of a box because it did fit still.

She loves my decorations

I got the amazing news that Dane got the whole week off to just reset after a long burnout from working so much. I was soooo happy not only for him but just because I feel so much more comfortable and empowered and safe and happy when he's home! I was looking forward to a great week.

I tried my millionth hand at some sugar cookies!

For her main everyday teachers

Then little goodie bags with a cookie for her sped teacher, speech therapist and librarian!

She was so happy we bought more ovaltine!

Tuesday! She loved looking at the details of her outfit

I cleaned and boiled some pretty farm eggs to take to Melanie's house for an Easter play date!

We put food coloring in cool whip and let them play. I'll say this...it took me longer to boil the eggs than they played! LOL it ended up being a water hose fight and going inside because too many spring time bugs YUCK

Beau loves any change to be with baby Romie! He loves her so much and just admires her. He talks about her tiny toes and always tells me we can't hold mellies new baby!

They mainly wanted to taste the cool whip! They spent their time eating it and Beau came up and said "mama you  wanna taste it it's so yummy!"

We are on opposite schedules of our besties so the play dates are usually during beaus nap time. He fell asleep for a good hour while we were there!

Wednesday is ARD day for this girl!

If you're not posing like a flamingo every morning what are you even doing?! 🦩🩷

It's hard for her to take teacher gifts in but I like her to be able to do the giving, since her librarian is always on car rider duty I let her take that one to school, me and Dane would take the rest to the ARD meeting.

Beau and Dane went for a walk while I went and got my toes done which was much needed

Today was our 6th ARD. We started at 18 months old when she was nonverbal with 2 pedi visits that lead to 1 ECI evaluation. 6 months of speech and developmental therapy. We lost her therapist's due to a shortage and stuck her in MDO to try to keep her afloat. 1 ECSE evaluation. 1 year in the half day ECSE program.

This school year began with half days in SPED and 90 mins in gen ed when they told me it was in Carolina's best interest to do full day in PREK4 after only 6 weeks of school. That was not a decision we made lightly. We were HESITANT.

Nothing but **HAPPY tears, laughs/smiles going around todays table talking about our girl! Her teacher picks one kid every year who's made the most progress and done the most work and this year it was OUR KID!

This journey has been long and we didn't see quick progress but this year Carolina went from talking with mainly her eyes and brows and communicating by gestures to telling 3 sentence stories.

WE ARE CLAPPING FOR OUR BABY GIRL ⭐️ forever her biggest fans.

Daddy picked her up from school and took her to celebrate with ice cream

She's been in to taking pics on my phone lately

Her selfies make me smile!

Night two of going to sleep without nursing! I'm changing our routine to protect his teeth. We nursed in the living room so we could brush teeth after instead of in bed til he falls asleep and he said "mama you wanna watch Reba?" I asked "do you want me to?" And he said "yes!" LOL

Thursday last day of school and school egg hunt

I love her prissy poses

We took Beau on his first buccees trip and for a haircut.

Me asking for a pic of his haircut and him saying no! Lol
He heard me talking to Dane about Mrs Shannon our hairdresser and he said "mister Shawn here yet??" Haha made me and Shannon laugh when i told her

So many Easter festivities they deserve another post!
