Around 3AM on July 4th 2025 an unimaginable tragedy took place in the Texas hill country. They're calling it a 100 year flood. Over 100 people lost their life. The Guadalupe river rose 26 feet in 45 minutes. Among the 100 people who lost their lives were around 28 children (at this point some are still missing and or unidentified) 27 girls from one cabin at camp mystic were missing, the whole cabin along with their counselors were washed away in the flood. To say my heart has been heavy would be an understatement. The coverage has been devastating. We pray God gives the families and the community a peace that doesn't even make sense.
BLESSED
Look at all these children...breath in their lungs
The morning of July 4th we had heard no news about the hill country yet. We were on the fence about the parade and I asked the kids if they wanted to paint or go and they said paint
We made the cute firecracker feet prints. They look the same size but the one on the right is beautiful and the left is Carolina.
Welllllll when we were done and the parade was about over Carolina announced she was ready to go to the parade. My heart broke!! She didn't understand it was one or the other. We tried our best to get there but it was over. We tried to cheer them up and got them a cake pop and breakfast at Kroger Starbucks.
It was a whole ordeal, we went to the bathroom and beau peed all over the floor and his shorts and shoes. Dane had to go get me the diaper bag from the bar so I could clean him up and change him.
We stayed in the pool almost all day. It's hard looking back at these pictures knowing what I know now about our fellow Texans grief and terror.
Pam's neighbors got the cutest basset hound puppy...his name is Frankie or frank when he's bad lol
Fireworks!
God bless the USA....and Texas. Lord please be with these families...they are weeping...we are weeping with them, and you with us.
