First full week of school

 

MORE RAIN! But that's okay bevause Carolina June is so stylish in her raincoat and bright yellow rainboots! I love this look on a toddler 

Been trying to get the kids to say amen when I pray with them...got beau on video saying it! I love his sweet voice. He's a copycat. Carolina started saying "NUH uh!" Lol....we'll work on it! 

Tuesday Jan 9 I took beau to get a big boy haircut! If his curls were on top I wouldn't mind cutting it short and leaving the top long....but his curls are in the back. For his first haircut last year I wouldn't dare let her touch the back. We just trimmed the front and sides which gave him a baby mullet. This time I let her trim the top section of his curls in the back so it wouldn't be so wild and would lay down some. I almost cried and was holding my breath the whole time freaking out! Beau did cry he didn't like it at all. But the after is so handsome on him 💙

Beaus favorite way to take a nap is inconvenient....either on the way home from dropping her off at school or on the way to pick her up! So he's getting these horrible car snoozes and then can't hang in the late afternoon and ends up with an evening nap. So me and Carolina had a slim chicken lunch date in the car to let him sleep a little longer. She loves their chicken tenders. 

After he woke up we played outside in the beautiful weather for awhile! In this picture beau is crawling towards the street...because I told him no so many times for trying to run/walk toward the street he thought he'd try crawling!

Carolina knows this isn't allowed so she had no problem helping boss him around and tell him no bobo! Go!

We went to the yellow house to take down Christmas and visit! Funniest thing...I was talking to my nana and told her that I told beau maybe after school we would go to the yellow house...she stops me and goes "Wait a minute...you call our house the GHETTO house?!?" I was like ooohhhh my gosh nana! I laughed my head off and told her no the YELLOW house! 

This morning in particular Carolina was very upset over me doing her hair! She can't stand for me to pull it up. But she was so sweet and randomly grabbed beaus hand when we were walking to the car 

She spent the night with cousin jaelyn. It was Friday night and jaelyn always gets her feelings hurt when Carolina doesn't want to stay. I told her if Carolina was okay with us leaving she could stay but that if she wanted to come home with us I was taking her. At first Carolina wanted to come with us which she usually does. But jaelyn started crying and I felt bad so I told jaelyn to hold Carolina's hand and try letting us tell her bye bye and if she would stay with her. And she did she held her hand and went up stairs. She did hesitate and turn back when she saw we were pulling out of the driveway but she didn't cry 

Saturday morning she was a GRUMP. Like all morning she fussed and screamed and whined. I was like okay no more sleepovers this is ridiculous! She ended up falling asleep in the car on our way home from the grocery store. I woke her up and brought her in the house and she laid down And went back to sleep for quite awhile which is unusual. When she woke up she looked sick and was lazy and didn't want anything but to lay in our bed. She started feeling hot and would barely drink which is very out of the ordinary for her. She started carrying on like she was going to puke on my bed so I was taking her to the bathroom and right before we got there she puked sunny d allll over the wall under the tv and the trunk that sits there. I knew in my heart she had strep throat because she kept making weird noises in her throat and she never acted like she needed to throw up again. So I took her to urgent care and Dane stayed with beau and they tested for flu first because that's what they're seeing a lot of and then they tested for covid and finally after talking to me they tested for strep and looked in her ears and she had an ear infection and positive for strep. 

She gagged on the strep test and ended up throwing up again but thankfully she missed us and hit the floor. It was interesting giving her a zofran tablet for the first time she was not in the mood so I just had to rub it all around her mouth until it dissolved even though she kept trying to push it out. Finally I gave her a little sip of apple juice and we got it down. She also did not want to take Tylenol but she was at 101.2 and miserable so I just leaned her back and started pouring it in...thankfully she outgrew spitting that and refusing to swallow. I'm not joking five mins later she crawled out of my lap and said "I puppy??" And pointed at her mouth wanting a snack.

 She then hid under the chair and smiled at the Dr and nurse who she was fighting 10 mins ago lol when we left she was happy and telling everyone bye and thank you! I took her to sonic to get a cup of ice cream while we waited for her antibiotics 

She was perfectly normal from there on out. She never ran fever again. We gave her one more dose of fever reducer before bed because we didn't want her to spike a fever in the middle of the night but she never complained again. This baby and her sweet tigger have been through a lot!  

Sunday Jan 14! No church since she had strep.

Junies tea parties consist of dinosaurs on the guest list 

Daddy had to work and she ended up falling asleep in the living room so I moved the sound machine out there and Dane slept on the couch when he got home so they would be close. He said she got up and booted him off the couch lol
