Happy Valentines Day!

A short school week for Carolina! 

Matching my bluey dude 

I had beau sleeping in his bed for a week before Dane left. He loves his new bed and asks "my bed look pretty??"  After a few nights he realized I was getting up and leaving. So then he was keeping himself awake forever at night and if I moved a muscle he was sitting straight up! He would even tell me before he went to sleep "don't leave me my bed" and lock the door. One morning he woke up and told me "mommy you scared me" and it was like 6AM I was like uhhhhh how did I scare you?? And when?? And he said "you leave me my bed. Not in kitchen, couldn't find you!" Made me sad. I explained that when he woke up to come to my bed! But then Dane went out of town for several days and I can't get them both to sleep in their own beds without help (we need to change our routine) so he got used to sleeping with me again. But thankfully he still asks to sleep in his bed. We don't actually mind him sleeping with us so we don't want to traumatize him in his room, we're just letting him take the lead right now 

Feb 11th I had a parent teacher conference for Carolina 

Flowerbed did not do well in the snow lol it's tropical here! 

MORE RAIN! 

I took Beau to papas house so I could go to the conference and Beau said "that's Mawmaw car!" I DIED LAUGHING! He said that because my mom ALWAYS buys them a box of Reese's pieces or has a box in her room! 

Hims fell asleep in the car! I'm trying to wean him completely but definitely during the day. We've made tons of progress and then he got stingy again! I decided to put cholula hot sauce on me. I told him I had an ouchie and he tried to nurse and he was upset that it was hot! But the thing about beau is he's stubbbbbborn as the day is long! So once he didn't want it because it was hot he moved on. Before that he would have sat at my feet had tears for hours! Sometimes he cannot get over himself 

Carolina's parent teacher conference went amazing! I'm so proud to be their MAMA 🩷My baby girl is KINDERGARTEN READY! She is I guess "behind" but they don't hold back for prek and her teacher was confident in her given all her progress, we got the official "go" that Carolina would be moving to kindergarten with her friends this fall. Her precious teacher almost cried telling me how proud she is of our girl. She said she was in tears doing her evaluation and seeing all of her progress. She would have been considered nonverbal at the beginning of this year. She's improved 10000000% on the social/verbal front-as parents we couldn't ask for more because that was our main concern. Academic wise, Carolina is smart and creative. She wants to do what she wants to do like add letters to her name! LOL or make the "o" a smiley face 😀 she likes to do the things she is confident in but shys away from things she needs practice at. She can count by memory to 20-30 pretty well and consistently but struggles with recognition on paper.Carolina knows all of her shapes even "rhombus" she can count to 30 with help and if you have her slow down! Working on alphabet and letter sounds and writing her name. Bottom line is, 

Time is a thief, my heart isn't ready 🥹

Her teacher was telling me how funny she is. She turned in some work with a picture she drew of herself crying at the bottom. Her teacher said "are you sad honey?" She said "no!" Her teacher said well then why did you draw yourself crying?? Carolina said "look I show you!" And showed her her school ID that has her school picture of her from prek3 crying! 

Teacher asked if she was okay and what was taking so long in the bathroom and Carolina jumped out in a starfish pose and said "TADA!"

She also said a little boy was bothering her one day and she wanted to see how Carolina would handle it. Carolina picked up her chair and moved all the way to the end of the table as far as she could and sat down and smiled and then like dusted of her hands like "all done!" She said she looked proud of herself. She also said that has become an inside joke in her home! Like don't make me pull a Carolina on you and wash my hands of you LOL 😝 

After school we addressed valentines for her friends. Since they were out of school the 13-14th they would be exchanging valentines on the 12th! 

Teacher goodies 

I was asking Carolina who she wanted to give her teacher gifts to because she has 3 ish and she kept saying "Ms Apple" or "Mrs Apple sauce!" And I had no idea who that was so I messaged her main teacher and asked who that could be and she said it's Ms Saffold! How funny! The kids call her Ms Apple a lot! But somehow she has impacted Carolina because she teaches next door and does the car rider line. So we made out a valentine for her and addressed it to Ms applesauce! I ran into her in the office and told her the story! 

Valentine books before bed! Beau chose little blue truck Valentine. I got that book for Carolina when I was pregnant with beau and it's what inspired his nursery theme. Carolina is on a big Elmo kick and chose Elmo Valentine book 

SILLY BOBO! He keeps us laughing 

Beau phrases lately: 

"Not a spot for me here" in the back of the Tahoe. My "nekkid" is what he calls his neck, he sounds like a hick saying naked haha. He was asking to watch "fancy Nancy" but it sounded like he was saying "itchy itchy" "you breakin my heart ma" 

I had to walk Carolina in on the 12th because she had so much to carry! Her backpack, tote bag with cupcakes and plates for her class and her valentines and her teacher gifts! 

"Sorry Cupid, I'm feral!" 

I had to buy him this shirt for good reasons! 

 This child is FERAL 🦝 

I'm watching tv in bed while Beau and Dane are sleeping. Beau takes after his daddy and has been known to talk and make gestures in his sleep. This baby sat up in bed and looked at me with his eyes half closed and proceeds to try to punch me in the face!! Thankfully I block it...he laid back down and started snoring like nothing ever happened. I laughed so hard I started crying and had to get out of bed because Dane was looking at me like a psycho!! 

I just want to know what he was dreaming about!!

I was upset that they don't make valentine boxes anymore. But I was happy when she came home with an adorable valentine bag that looked like her! All the way to the big bow and curly brown hair and big brown eyes! Even though she would tell you she wants blue eyes like daddy. 

We had sausage biscuits and gravy for dinner. 

No school Feb 13th! We made valentines for daddy and I let them put them in the mailbox the next day. They did good keeping the secret! 

Iced coffee and sourdough toast! Half butter half peanut butter! My nana turned me onto it. I think she cuts hers in half. I just leave it and take bites out of each side 

Carolina trying to help keep beau asleep! We went to Walmart. She noticed my tattoo on my neck while shopping and she said "I don't have that we don't match" and then she pointed at my back (it wasn't showing she just knows by memory) and she said "I like it I want heart!" Lord have mercy don't let this child grow up and want dumb tattoos like mommy! I was fifteen when I got both of mine. I forget I have them because one is on the back of my neck and one is on my lower back. So I don't ever see them.

Beau has no grace and a bruised and beat up guardian angel trying to keep him alive all the time! He was honestly just standing on Pam's PADDED RUG and fell when he turned around and busted his lip open!

We had bacon and heart pancakes! Beau took this picture and I love the edges where you can see his fingers

Pam knocked on my door when we were done with breakfast and brought them valentines 

We made heart shaped pizza for dinner and they thought it was so fun! We had been reading a Daniel tiger Valentine book where he makes a heart shaped pizza with his mommy, so we had been talking it up for awhile! 

Dane came home with a beautiful sunflower mix and cookies for the kids. I know I took a pic of them and now I can't find it...wondering if it was on Danes phone! 

I got Dane a camo silicone wedding ring for Valentine's Day. He's had a lot of different rings since we've been married, he has metal allergies. He's been wearing the one had currently for 3 years and it was NOT cheap, all of the sudden it was making his finger raw! The funny thing is his gift was on the bar and he knew not to open it. Well while he was making Carolina a drink she saw the TINY box and said what's this?! And opened it. I had already gone to bed. I woke up the next morning and saw the empty box and was like are you joking!! He told me Carolina opened it so then I had to laugh. However I did find it funny that he put it on and wore it instead of putting it back lol

Saturday afternoon Dane stayed with beau and I took Carolina out. We had lunch and then went shopping for a bday present for her classmate. She had so much fun choosing gifts. I told her what his mommy said he liked and we found a ton of Spider-Man stuff. She kept saying "my Jakob love this!" 

WHAT IS THE PROTOCOL FOR CLASSMATE PARTY INVITES?! I've volunteered as often as I could this year but I don't know the kids parents well. Carolina got invited to a boys birthday party and she was really excited "my Jakob my Jakob!" So I wanted her to go. I'm a retired hood rat LOL well I walk in the door to this party on 3rd st in LP today and it smelled like weed 😩 I didn't know what to do. It was ghetto, now I understand not everyone can afford party entertainment but their idea of a party was all the kids piled into the boys room jumping off the top bunk onto a trundle bed. Now I'm so sketchy about letting her go to classmates parties ever again or inviting them to hers 🫣🫣🫣🫣 Literally could not walk in that room it was DESTROYED and all the kids were in there screaming and jumping off the bed. We left ASAP

One benefit of the party was seeing how happy they were to see her. There were five kids from class there and when Carolina walked in the door they all screamed "Carolina!!!!" Then they ran to the back and said "Carolina is here!!" It was like wow I had no idea she was so loved! They went NUTS. But also since Carolina is the baby of the class and got moved from sped I think they all "mother" her
