A crazy week

Monday the 17th I took the kids to the library. Carolina had a mini break from school between teacher conference days and Presidents' Day and in service day!
Carolina became obsessed with this book I had to read the diagram to her lots of times lol it was in Spanish so I had to just go by my own knowledge. When we left we picked up Pam and had lunch at our fave local cafe

Stinky girl found her way to my bed!

We've not decided rather to homeschool or public school. And if we do choose public school we aren't sure which one or even which district. To say my heart has felt heavy is an understatement! I saw this and needed it. I get so obsessive when giving my kids a white picket fence magical childhood and wanting everything to be perfect that I forget one important piece: my kids are already not suffering through some of the things I did as a child because they have an amazing daddy! And a mommy who stays home and is committed to them
getting the most out of their education. They are already miles away from where I was. I love my parents. I respect them. I cherish them. They did the best they could with what they had. But I want it to be different for my own kids.

The 18th was my nana's birthday! I was sad not to spend the day with her but they had all been going through Covid and I didn't feel comfortable seeing them yet. I did make sure to send a video first thing in the morning because we had a busy day planned! We went to CFA for breakfast and then got to the children's museum shortly after they opened!

They played dentist which was perfect practice for their dentist appointments that afternoon.

They had a blast. Carolina liked the bank a lot and they both loved grocery shopping. Beau liked to push the cart.

Carolina did amazing for her appt! I can't believe what a different child she is from a couple years ago when we couldn't even take her contactless temp at the Dr without 4 people holding her down

She got her x rays and teeth cleaned and one tooth sealed that had a weak spot. Beau had to be held down to have his teeth cleaned and we went ahead and scheduled his procedure to have his crowns put on. My  poor baby

Afterwards she got her face painted! When we walked in they had face painters and a popcorn and nacho bar! It was like a day at the carnival. They also got gold tokens for the prize machine and goodie bags and balloon animals!

She knew she wanted a unicorn without even looking!

Beau wanted no part of the face painting but picked a blue puppy balloon

Carolina's unicorn craft! She wrote her name and asked me how to spell unicorn

I had to flip our door hanger to inside because we got another freeze and it was so windy it kept hitting the door

Beau insisted on putting his cup lid in my coffee cup and I kept telling him it wouldn't work because the lid won't screw onto my cup. Well he thought he was so clever and he actually was! He just stuck it down in and started drinking my coffee from his straw lol

Carolina needed to meditate after school

The 22nd was Jaelyn's bday party! She had a panda party

After the party I had to go help my best friends with something. Then my ear was hurting so I went to urgent care. They said I had a skin infection from my earrings....I didn't feel the rx because I honestly didn't believe that.

The next morning Carolina was at my bedside saying her ear hurt. It was Sunday and her pedi had no appointment available until Wednesday, so Dane took her to urgent care and i stayed with beau. He went to sleep and then when Carolina got home she went to sleep! She had another ear infection but it was early. We started antibiotics.

I was supposed to be out of town Sunday helping my friends with something but God threw multiple road blocks that made it clear I was supposed to stay home.

I forgot to mention about a week ago we met Melanie her husband Ellie and new baby Romie at the park! Ever since Beau saw the baby (from a distance) he keeps saying "mommy mellie have new baby?" "Mommy I like mellie baby I want to hold her!"
