Bye February!

Carolina fell and ate dirt on the driveway this morning and was crying because she was dirty and I was like hold on I'll go get a wipe to clean you off as I was buckling beau in and then all of the sudden she was going "OMG!!! LOOK MOMMY DEER!" And there were like 4 deer walking down the end of our street lol couldn't have asked for a more Snow White moment to get her to stop crying!

They were acting like cows. I'm not sure why, they had been watching Elmo the musical lol

O M G
The realization on a VERY HARD LONG DAY that one day I'll be entering the next stage of motherhood and leaving this one behind. One day they'll cry at my feet for the last time. One day I'll pick up all the trains and horses for the last time because they won't play with them anymore. One day toys won't be strewn from one end of the house to the other. One day they won't beg me to play.  I have a huge lump in my throat typing this. It's not just their childhood that's passing it's my life too. One day I'll be standing on the other side saying "we made it!" To my younger self, only my younger self can't move forward with me, I'll be frozen at 30 my memories with their childhood. The days right now especially the past couple weeks have felt HEAVY and worrisome but I could bawl thinking about the last time I pick my child up and hold them in my arms. It's a privilege to grow up, it's a blessing to watch them, but oh how it's the most painful thing I've ever experienced. Childhoods truly aren't long enough. I'll know them as a child for such a short time. I'll spend majority of their life knowing them as adults.

After school it was truly beautiful. We went for a walk and played outside. They took turns pulling one another in the wagon while I sang "row row row your boat gently down the stream, if you see a crocodile don't forget to scream!" And I pretended to be the crocodile chasing them!

Then beau helped me peel a sweet potato for dinner. They both sat on the counter eating raw sweet potato...EW! lol they both ate their pork chop for dinner but Carolina decided she didn't like the potato once it was cooked....uhhhh OKAY!

Carolina has been trying lots of new food. Lasagna, hamburger, sausage in the pig blanket. Alfredo, oranges, spaghetti, pork chops. I don't remember what else but she had gotten ridiculous she was only eating a handful of things. I made a new rule- you take one bite! If she doesn't like it I don't make her eat it but that's only happened 1-2 times. It also doesn't mean that I get up and cook whatever she wants...she has to eat whatever "safe" food I offer her.

Tuesday! Carolina loves school so much.

Her teacher messaged me to let me know Carolina was having a wardrobe malfunction lol

Beau and I sold some clothes and toys at a resale store and turned around and bought several things too! Some which I need to return because they don't fit Carolina but oh well! Beau was the sweetest boy and behaved himself so well and helped me pick clothes for Carolina. They didn't have anything really liked for him besides 2 Easter shirts. I'm so picky about his clothes.

Beau had a bottle before bed and he told me "I don't want it to get old ma!" I laugh at him all the time. It's a true blessing! He said that because when he picks a drink up off my nightstand in the morning I always tell him it's old! lol

Carolina was SO GRUMPY Wednesday morning! I told her she looked pretty and she said "mom stop talking you're hurting my ears" OKAY THEN!
We've been having allergies, Carolina was a little stuffy and she said "mom! My nose! It's not working!"

There's this saying "you're only as happy as your least happy kid" it was pretty true for this morning! Lol
Couldn't bring Beau down!

We had another busy day of running errands to try and get all these outgrown clothes out of my house! I'm still holding onto lots, but some of it I just don't care about and I can't keep everything we have wayyyyyy too much!

We had a little breakfast date waiting for once upon a child to open

He really enjoyed his Nutella croissant

We had a DQ gift card so after school I took the kids. There was an older couple sitting behind us and k thought it was funny they were playing nursery rhymes at their table when they had no kids with them until I turned around and saw this lol he had his phone propped up for Carolina. Weird or sweet? Not sure! lol

While we were there Melanie text us to meet at the park!

Carolina walked out trying to put her night gown on and I died laughing. Oh and if we were standing in front of the tv where she couldn't see she would say "I can't see that well!"

Thursday right after school we went to celebrate this special lady for her belated birthday! We had Mexican food and ice cream cake and they had margaritas! It was sooooo good to finally be at the yellow house after them being sick for so long.

Friday was go Texan day!

And breakfast with buddies!

Beau was so excited to be apart of Carolina's school! He's very interested about her day at school and what she does without him.

Beau and I spent the day back and forth doing laundry at Pam's since my dryer broke, and I was so disappointed when I got out my Easter decor while Beau was napping and discovered rats had been in it! I had to throw away sooooo much. I only kept glass that was wrapped tight and I was able to wipe it with Clorox just to make me feel better. Anything that couldn't be disinfected got trashed. Beau took a super long nap! He woke up while Pam was here dropping off a basket of my clothes I left over there drying. He crawled in her lap and went to sleep for another 30 mins or so.

Then he was super excited to see I had gotten Easter stuff out!

We picked up Carolina from school and went for a quick run to Kroger. Lately they think they're the boss....we got in the store and Carolina wants to walk. Which I do understand but then beau is upset. It seems unfair. So I told her she had to sit in the basket with beau. They were both standing there refusing to get in the basket and causing a traffic jam where people were trying to get baskets. So I grabbed them both by the hand and said NOPE! And walked out the door with my head held high and them kicking and screaming. We got to the Tahoe and they were crying to go back in the store. I explained they were not in charge and have to do what I say, and that if we went back in they were expected to sit in the basket. They agreed and we tried again. This time we were successful! When we got home beau helped me cut my dead foxtail ferns and Carolina played with our Easter egg tree that my nana bought them. She loves it every year! Thankfully it was wrapped tight in the box of Easter decor. We had to come inside to change beaus diaper, he didn't want to and was denying that he went potty. And I said "beau I smell you" and he said "don't smell me ma!"
Later that night he didn't want to go to sleep. He was sitting in the recliner in our room with me and when we got in bed he said "I had fun sitting with you!" It melted my heart. I always try to tell them "I had fun with you" I want them to know I enjoy their company and treasure our time together.

Saturday daddy had to work a while. We went to hobby lobby to replace a couple of Easter things and there were some hiccups with my head strong child....afterwards we went to the wooden spoon! Our favorite 🖤 the kids love their cheeseburgers and shrimp

Daddy and I went back to the wooden spoon for dinner!

The chocolate cake I got was HUGE

It's March 1st sooooo bring on Easter! It feels a little funny because Easter is late April this year. But Easter is MAYBE my favorite holiday. It's hard to choose! I love Christmas but it's sooo chaotic (I should change that!)

Best part of Easter :

MATTHEW 28

The Resurrection

After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to

look at the tomb.

There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it. His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men.

The angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for i know that you are looking for jesus, who was crucified.

He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay.

Carolina is very interested in decorating. Thrills my heart! She saw a few of my little things sitting on tables and she moved them around. I laughed and changed it back thinking it would be a fun game of her changing it again but when she saw it she cried and asked me where the 3 bunnies were and even held up her three fingers!

Some bunny loves you 🩷

Bunny plate from my nana

Carolina gets excited about things! Lol she pays close attention I get scared when I move furniture around. Like yesterday I moved her dresser to the living room and I was so scared she was gonna be mad and she came inside and was like "wow you moved it I love it!" And then she saw the toy room rearranged and put her hands together and said "that's perfect it's perfect! OH MY GOOOOSHHHH" LOL I was laughing so hard

Carolina loves the bunny family on the floor. Morgan's grandma gave it to me because she said it looks like our family of 4

Church Sunday!

Beau told me he was so excited when we were walking in and when I picked him up he told me he had fun! Made me so happy.

Carolina is always excited to go to church! She asks me a few times a week when we're going.

Mommy matching!

We spent the afternoon grocery shopping playing with Playdoh and outside.
