Fancy Nancy Pants

 

She could TOTALLY pass for fancy Nancy based on her outfit anyways but that is not the point! (Read below) 

Monday! An hour or so after I dropped Carolina off I was looking at the school app and found out it was book character day. They posted a flyer Friday night (for the first time) and I missed it. I was soooooo upset! It was not advertised well by the school at all. Even if I had seen it Friday night that's 2 days to ask Carolina what she wants to be and throw it all together. That's barely enough time for Amazon prime yall. I called the school to make sure the whole week wasn't a dress up week because I saw that some of the other elementary schools were doing something each day for read cross America week. Nope it was just ONE DAY at her school and we missed it. I checked facebook and I looked at the district page the school page and the pto page, NOTHING about book character day. Her teacher had not put out the newsletter for the week with important dates and it was also not on the event calendar. I didn't notice kids dressed up when I dropped her or picked her up so I'm willing to bet LOTS of mamas missed the Friday night notice. They probably didn't cry over it but i sure did! Lol but I also came up with a solution, I'm gonna ask Carolina what character she would like to be and dress her up for library time or Barnes and noble or my friend Melanie told me we got a new book store in town. I was burning over it all day wondering if Carolina felt left out she got home and I asked her if it was book character day and did friends dress up and she said no! Lol I had to laugh at that point.

Beau was sleeping so snug I hated to wake him. I hate waking up sleeping babies 

 

Carolina told me this was her library! 

Beau and I played with police cars before we went and met our besties for lunch.! I was soooo frustrated about the book character day thing and I knew she would understand, I needed to vent! 

Beau loves anything with wheels but his favorite toy is his police car and he always points out police cars when driving. Funny enough we kinda got stuck behind an officer leaving the neighborhood and he flashed his lights for us to go around. Beau was complaining he couldn't see so I slowed down next to the car. Then rolled down the window so he could see and the officer rolled down his! I was like OH NO! Haha. I told him I just had a little boy who loved police cars and he said hello to beau and then beau acted so scared and shy! We pulled off and he said "mommy I'm scared  police officer" I told him cops are our friends and like super heroes! 

When we picked up sister she had this pink pool noodle horse the librarian made her 

Tuesday! She was mad because i grabbed the pool noodle horse so I could take a pic without it . She wouldn't let me take her picture.   

It was a dark rainy morning and beau was passed out. I hated the thought of waking him to take him directly into the rain I knew he would  be upset..I would be too! I called Pam and she was able to sit at the house while I took Carolina to school. We stayed home all day and played and rested. We picked up Carolina from school and ran to the grocery store, when we got home they played outside in the crazy wind we had. There were like 50mph gusts! 

Wednesday...mad because it was cold. lol me too sis

Coolest dude ever. He told me he needed to go see his papa. He said papa is his friend and papa needs him! 

 Well okay then little dude! Left him with papa and me and Pam went to ihop!lol papa only text once and said he needed a translator. It was a beautiful day and not so windy so we played in the backyard. Then he took a good nap and we brought Pam with us to pick up a GRUMPY JuneBug! She has had some serious attitude lately! We were going to go to party city but we didn't because she said she was too tired....she then told me she needed alone time at nanas house and me and beau need to stay home! NO PROBLEM SISTER! I took Beau for ice cream 

He told me he wanted a blue ice cream and I didn't know what he was talking about. Sure enough they had a blue cone. We went to the park after and had a creepy encounter with some little boys...we left! Carolina was MAD when we showed up. She said no we were supposed to stay home and her be alone. She was drawing in a notebook and she came and drew my face and said it was a sad face and then she drew a big X over it because I wasn't supposed to be there LOL

Thursday! They both picked up these Easter books and haven't put them down 

Beaus wild hair has been difficult to fix lately! We both needed a haircut and I truly almost cut mine and his off! But my hairdresser seemed a little rushed and I was indecisive sooo I didn't want to make a quick decision and regret it so we just got it trimmed 

You can't tell much difference she just layers the top so it will lay flat and cleans up around his ears 

Friday was spring pic day for this girl and I was so happy for the weekend because Dane was actually going to be home on a Saturday!

We went to the train museum in Galveston saturday morning! We're a train loving family. Danes dream job would be to be like a conductor in the 40's or something lol i love trains too, I think they're romantic or something idk they remind me of men going off to war and their girl sending them off at the train station 

We did a caboose ride and I wasn't a fan it felt like a jail cell there were two seats for 11 passengers. Not at all what I was expecting and it was rusty and gray with a sink it literally reminded me of a jail cell 

Right at this time the horn honked and beau was not a fan of that at all 

It was really cool! I also really love history and taking a step back in time and this definitely felt like that 

It was fun telling them how there hasn't always been cell phones and this what phones used to look like

They were exhausted on the way home and we had some meltdowns over who wanted which color train that they picked out at the gift shop lol from now on I'm going to make them pick the same thing wherever we go! 

Sunday me and the kids went to church while Dane worked. The time had sprung forward the night before, it didn't affect us that morning but that night it did because we forgot to change the clocks and didn't realize we hadn't finished dinner until 8pm lol 

I came outside and Dane goes "watch this!" And does a wheelie. I said do not do that again with my child on there! The next thing that comes out of my two year olds mouth is "daddy pop a wheelie!" 

I almost never buy ice cream. Truly we haven't had ice cream in the freezer for probably a year. But bluebell had a new gooey butter cake flavor I wanted to try. It was really good, Beau thoroughly enjoyed it. Carolina did not like the cake pieces it surprised her and she was spitting all over herself and the table. Dane said he didn't care for the cake but he didn't mind it like she did
