Carolina was a vibe with her care bear outfit! 🌈 🐻 🩷
She had a fantastic day and I was able to talk to her specials and find out what days of the week she would have help and hopefully speech will start soon. I was so emotional and cried so much when I talked to Ms V because my heart was heavy from the night before. She told me she could feel my heart through the phone and let me know she had read up on Carolina and everyone including her is blown away by her progress. She gave us kudos for doing early intervention and said her world could look so different if we hadn't. She said she heard a parent who was sensitive and had a big heart and wished all parents cared as much as I do. It made me feel less like an emotional wreck.
She came home from school and she told me the police officer found a raccoon on the playground but then she told me there was a raccoon under the chair and somebody jumped on the table...then there was a raccoon in the pool....then in her backpack and it SCRATCHED HER! At first I believed her then I questioned her whole story LOL
It must have been a story or show she watched at school because she kept saying stuff like "if a bear knocked on the door and they were a bad guy in the house, that would be IMPORTANT" and "just say NO! That would be important" they clearly talked about the importance of danger and things because Carolina talked to me and Dane like actually locked us in her room for 45 minutes telling us about "that would be IMPORTANT!!!"

Trying to capture all the moments that feel like they could be "the last time" soon....we've lived on baby land and toddler world for 5 years now and all of the sudden things are changing. Like how much longer will my big girl asked to be wrapped in a towel and carried after bath time? Such a hard thing to think about...do you remember the last time you picked up and held your child? Did you know it was the last?

We made a visit to our local police station and Beau wanted to bring pringles for the police officer but was too scared to talk or give them to him. He goes radio silent around officers! But he is fascinated with them and their cars. The police officer let him and daddy look inside his brand new 2025 car! Showed him the lights and stuff. And gave him some stickers. Beau fist bumped him

While adjusting to new routine Carolina is dying to go to Pam's house lol I decided since Tuesday is dance night and we will be out later anyways it would be a good night to visit! Beau got out all the old peppa pig toys and they enjoyed playing. This was in a peppa pig book and Carolina opened it and said "wow that's amazing!"
Beau was really funny with his balance bike. He said it was his motorcycle and he had a flat tire and needed an air pump HOW DOES HE KNOW THIS STUFF at 3?!!
I told him to get me a Pepsi and put it in his saddle bag and he looked behind him and said "nope don't have one I'll need to get one at the store!" It was also his 4wheeler. His "old one" he kept pretending to crash and played dead so we would drag him around the house

And her response was so heartfelt I was in a puddle. It's true when they say amazing teachers have a lasting impact on your life. I know I will never forget her and forever be grateful for her. His plan was best and He knew I needed her. I had no idea how blessed we would be going in.
Carolina's bedtime antics are hysterical. All of her talking and her dramatic expressions and the BOSSY attitude! She stops me while reading to tell me to stop and do it over again because she didn't have the right stuffed animal to act it out! OKAY SISTER we're gonna have to go to bed at 5pm to get through all these theatrical readings. It took 37 mins to read 4 books the other night lol it may not seem like a long time but they aren't long books! She was also telling me she was looking for a stuffed deer so naturally I thought it was one we owned....NOPE! One she played with at school. She told me it's "noisy" and was making a noise with a beanie baby. NOT SQUISHY! And she was so sad because "I wanted to take it home they made me put it down on table and leave it because it's not ours it's the schools" lol
Wednesday morning I caught them watching bluey together before school
They always stop to look at snails...growing up is tough, you don't take the time to stop and see the little things all around you. I really wish childhood lasted longer, it's magical.
Beau was wanting his lunch and his backpack...he's having a hard time because his bestie is in school his big sister is in school and his cousins. He thinks he wants to go to school too but I know he would miss me so much. We're thinking next year!
Disney is breaking open the vault lately! Been finding lots of Marie, lady and the tramp and Toy Story lately!
Encouraged Beau to watch Sesame Street with me and he loved it. I gathered up some of our Elmo toys and we danced and sang together
I told him how much fun it was for me and I hope I can encourage them to watch pbs and Disney for as long as possible!
We had a company come over they did all of our attic and duct work a year ago...we've been smelling something and I was concerned about mold but they didn't see anything but he did bring out a dead rat YUCK! He showed it to me I was like you did not have to do that! Boys are boys no matter what age they are!

I don't know if it was the sanitation spray or allergies but I had a HORRIBLE headache right around the time we had to pick up Carolina! Beau was so sweet and asking where my headache came from and asking if a Pringle would make it better and how I was feeling. He gave me kisses and hugs too and kept telling me he was sorry.
Carolina got really into making hamburgers with me
Nana and papa had stopped by and we offered them to stay for dinner and they got stuck here longer than expected because a nasty storm rolled through and kept making our power go on and off.

Beau was excited to tell Dane all about the workers in the attic and the rat they pulled out. Carolina has been wanting me to put her to bed for pretty much all summer I feel like lol but tonight I was tired and just wanted to go lay down because my headache was coming back and knew it would take approximately 37 minutes to read all of her books and it was only 7:20 I knew she wouldn't be ready for bed yet. I told her she could stay up and watch the rest of the movie with Dane and she said "ok. Go!" And pointed me away! LOL

Last night I was watching handyman Hal with beau and he saw the tire go flat and he goes "he has a spare one" like he's only 3 he knows a lot about boy things already I guess his daddy understood the assignment lol
Beau got enough stickers on his potty chart to get the big star sticker and a prize! I made it a big one so we can get this potty training thing on the roaaadddd

I was talking to Beau about him getting a haircut and he said he didn't like the long part and wanted it cut off. I have thought about cutting his hair a lot of times but we hate to cut his curls from the back that's why he has a mullet. But I guess if he wants it cut we will. I was shocked he said that. Thursday we met Melanie and baby Romie at the library. Then we met them for lunch at the wooden spoon after she picked up Ellie...they were so cute having actual little conversations! They changed so much so quick
The evening was tough Beau fell asleep in the car before lunch for like 20 mins then again around 4 for maybe 10 mins

She was exhausted too...it was a long evening for both of them! Lots of big reactions to things. Carolina ran to her room crying 3 times
Lately we read 5 books at night. This night I was like no we need to go to bed so i just got out our 2 faves and causally said only 2 tonight and she didn't say anything. The first book went quickly she didn't act it out or stop me a million times to make comments on the illustrations...well then I couldn't finish the second book because she lost interest and said she was tired. It really got me in my feels because it's so true it won't always be like this...the things we sometimes rush through will one day be what we're reminiscing about. How different would you treat this day in your life, if you were coming from the future to visit?

I had the sweetest conversation with Mrs Carrizal. I sent her the heart photos and she was melted. She had dropped her daughter off at college and I asked if her daughter was ready and here was her response
I never knew she knew I told Carolina "be a blessing" I tell her that everyday when she gets out of the car. I'm HONORED that when leaving her daughter at college which is such a milestone and you want to say something profound that will stick that she would think of me and tell her daughter to just "be a blessing"
It gave me peace that God put us together because we needed each other and this change has been hard but we absolutely impacted each other in some way and we'll always be in each others heart. It made me feel like our time at LP wasn't just fleeting. We made a difference, she made a difference and our time together counted for a lot. This conversation inspired one of my "Fiona stories"
I had ideas flowing and wanted to work so I tried to take beau to the library. They were closed but he said "you wanna sit right here and wait?" LOL not for 3 hours! So we went to the bookstore and he said "I don't wanna go to the old library ANYMORE!"

Everyone is freaking out about Cracker Barrel changing their logo and redoing their restaurant. We went to check ours out and it was still the same! Subtle changes to the menu but we hadn't been there in a while.
I don't remember them giving us glass syrup bottles before. Or having cereal on the menu which Beau picked. But honestly they bring you biscuits and kids never eat anyways so I appreciate being able to order something for $3
He liked it and he liked pouring his own milk
We also ran to Lowe's and Walmart. Beau saw these inflatable tires hanging from the ceiling and said "I want a big donut" I laughed so hard
I got fooled into marshmallows at 7 AM. We didn't have cups clean I forgot to start the dishwasher and so I was convincing Carolina to drink out of her monkey coffee cup. After we made it she was asking to add something and I couldn't figure out what because it sounded like "mushrooms" and then I realized we used the cups for cocoa at Christmas and she was asking for MARSHMALLOWS. Well I didn't have any small ones so we had to use peeps

It got worse lol beau woke up and I couldn't tell him no to peeps when Carolina had piled her cup high with them. But I wasn't really expecting Carolina to eat hers it was more for fun
