A boy watching the garbage truck
Carolina has been stealing my phone and taking 100 pictures lol but I love the selfies
Sweet girl has gone to sleep with her daddy pretty consistently for 3 years. I get her for special occasions. But she's wanted me majority of the summer. It was hard at first because it messed with the routine but we needed the switch. Dane and Beau need the bonding time and me and her do too ALONE
Beau Beau cooking for me
We made a little play room at the yellow house! Love how it turned out
The kids love to play at a desk and it works out they had two!
I don't have a bunch of pics...sadly one of our neighbors lost her 17 year old son in a motorcycle crash. Dane witnessed the accident scene on his way home from work and was very distraught. Even more sadly they lost their 19 year old daughter just 9 months ago to accidental overdose...it's hard to witness tragedy that deep and it was close to home for us. I spent a few days helping prepare for his funeral so I just didn't take lots of pics I was also busy doing back to school stuff
We got a Bible for people to sign, me and Pam did one of the memory tables
We put his favorite candy's on the table and pictures all around for people to take home
His favorite color was pink. The whole community came together and donated food and supplies it was all very heartfelt and proof that when you don't know how to take your next step God is going to provide some way
Even the sky was pink on my way home 🩷
August 1 was the day of Stash's funeral. Another reason I wanted August to go away aside from school starting.
We had breakfast with the kids before we dropped Carolina off at the yellow house. She didn't want to come.
The whole town wore pink.
Shelbie was the main person organizing and rallying the troops to get everything done for his parents
Beau and Harper are not sure about each other
Sometimes someone else's grief hits close to home and this time it was on our street. I'm so grateful Stash knew Jesus and is now in Heaven with him!
On the way home from the church the night before his service God painted the sky pink. It was a FULL church and people came from far and wide to help set up and donate things.
The preacher talked about his joy and his adventurous spirit and how he always had a smile and as a 31 year old mom with chaotic days it made me want to live more like stash, in joy.
I met Reese and Kelly 10-11 years ago and their kids were close to the same age as my kids now. Dane and I were newly married and fast forward 10 years we're living the life I'm sure they miss so much now while their 2 children are in Heaven. It really puts life into perspective and Dane and I sat in that church pew fighting back tears and squeezing hands tighter than we have in a long time.
Live like Stash 🩷 "in the end it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years"
Carolina had a wonderful time at the yellow house and pawpaw waited on her hand and foot and told me what an angel she was! She really is so easy.
Saturday morning we went and picked up a little tv from Pam's house because ours quit working in the living room
It still had a Barney tape in it haha
Helping dad take the tv off! We got 8 years out of it! Maybe 9. It was the first big thing we purchased together when we got married and we spent close to 1000 dollars on it! Flat screens have come a long way lol
Carolina had on her dress up crown one day and said "here comes the queen!" She also went to sleep one night telling me she is the most beautiful and she is pretty that Beau is not pretty because he's a boy!
We had a special family outing at moody garden aquarium
First lunch at Landry's and the kids were so good. Carolina ate almost a whole loaf of bread to herself we had to get more. Beau loved the Alfredo
We got lots of compliments on our pretty blues
I was shocked by how big penguins are. Basically the same size as beau! He's a little taller
Carolina loved the "sea puppies" and the starfish Beau loved the penguins
Beau was really brave and wanted to pet the stingray with daddy me and Carolina said go ahead we'll watch haha gross and scary! But they wouldn't come close enough for them to touch
Carolina was confused when I kept telling her there was a mermaid and couldn't find it so I took this pic and zoomed in and she said "not real!"
Beau wanted to take a lot of pictures with the penguins and I'm certain it was just so he could climb
Sissy was stand offish they're a little too realistic...but honestly they're almost the same size as her I don't blame her
Blessed 💙
Back to nanas house for another little tv they had we could mount on the wall! The one with the vcr is cool but we wanted to be able to watch our shows too
