Sylvan beach day and the chickens first bday!

Saturday April 24th was Carolina June’s first sylvan beach parade! She had a good time but the fire trucks scared her! They made her cry twice...shame on them!

We were trying our best to keep her in the shade and keep her cool with her ice water because it was HOT! Oh my gosh like we had 50 degree weather yesterday what the heck?!

It was also her first beauty pageant! Well, it is normally a bathing suit pageant since it’s “sylvan beach pageant” but they decided to do something different this year and go with a go Texan theme. It was cute although I think I prefer the bathing suit theme because you can’t go too overboard with a bathing suit and it’s supposed to be a natural pageant. I think it’s fine for the older age groups but not the babies. Carolina was in the 0-23 month category which is a big gap in my opinion lol there were only a couple babies the rest were closer to 2 and able to “perform”. My beauty Queen wore a yellow rose of Texas outfit

But the said beauty Queen missed out on her beauty sleep! She had a 30 minute nap from the time she woke up and the pageant started at 1 and we were number 14 in line! She almost fell asleep on my shoulder while waiting to go on stage

She did good, she didn’t cry or freak out. She was just too tired to shine her true personality. I was hoping she would smile and babble and bounce up and down-you know, do all the adorable things she does all the time haha but you never know what they are gonna do when you get them on stage in front of a bunch of strangers so I was just thankful she didn’t get scared and cry....especially since she was napless! She didn’t win anything but we had fun doing it and she is a winner in our eyes.....and after all it was only her first pageant! We brought her home and she was almost asleep in the car but when we came in she got a heck of a second wind lol she did not take a nap! She stayed up we went to Danes parents house and they offered to watch her while we went back up to sylvan beach for the concert...well we went and after 30 minutes we were just not having a good time! When you have a babysitter but sylvan beach after dark is officially ratchet 🥴 we are such old souls....I'd rather go to dinner and a movie I do not enjoy having beer spilt on me or yelling over loud music...and teenagers are officially annoying and disrespectful and WHAT ARE THEY WEARING?? lol so we picked up our baby early watched family feud and brought her home ❤️

Next up: chickens first bday! Chicken is Missy jo, Carolina June’s best friend. Together they are the “chicken biscuit”

I love the way Dane Michael is holding her little foot
Missy jo has a chicken themed party (obviously!) and it was so adorable. The food was great and there was a really good turnout. Carolina June playing on Morgan and Tim’s bed lol little daredevil....I told her mommy is not a thrill seeker and to quit acting like she is
 Carolina and “MiMi”

Aunt Shelby who we love and adore 💛
Aunt Shelby’s youngest baby madi who just wanted to “told the baby” (hold) and also thought she was Missy jo at first haha

And chicken biscuit!

But....the best pic of them two from the whole day:

Wait for it....

OH.MY.GOODNESS!! I died laughing when I zoomed in on this picture after the party! Chickens face is like “really biscuit?! You gotta do that now?! It’s my party!!”

Is this not the most precious picture of her?! Shelby got it and it is definitely frame worthy!

I leave you with the sweetest friendship 🐓🌸💛

I am so emotional over Missy Jo turning one year old! Looking back through these pictures brought tears and joy. I remember holding her on my belly and Carolina June kicking her from the womb. Safe to say Missy has got her back by now, haha and I love that I have pics of Missy sitting on my belly because I also have pics of her sitting on Carolina once she was born! Watching someone’s child that you love grow and learn things is a great privilege and we are so happy to be apart of her life and to have caught just a glimpse of what her personality will be like and how she has changed since she was born last April...they do so many things in a year it amazes me!

Last April we were celebrating Morgan’s birthday and my baby shower with them both safely tucked in the womb...now they are out in the world bumping their heads and falling down all the time!
