Roses Tulips and Tibbetts: May HALLELUJAH

This last stretch of school has been rough. Carolina wants to stay home, we're all tired and the schedules are getting busier! This specific Monday morning Carolina was FINE. She picked out her outfit the night before besides her shoes. But all hell broke loose when I went to brush her hair! Now I'll give it to her, she had three huge rat nest knots from swimming. I had conditioned and tangle sprayed and all the things but finally I had to take a tiny strand at a time and BRUSH. We got through it and I asked her to put on her pink shoes. She FLIPPED OUT. No words just head shaking and grunting screaming! She went to her room with Dane and he went through all of her shoes twice and she said no (I thought she held her breath until she passed out because she was so quiet) Dane asked if she had anymore shoes. It dawned on me that the last time she wore this outfit a week or so ago she wore some metallic shoes. I went and asked her if that's what she wanted and she said "yes" very matter of fact. OMG. Ok I found them in Danes truck and she was good to go! No hair bow today because I didn't want for isis to make a debut again

Beau said he wanted birthday cake (I thought) he actually said protein drink. So he helped himself and I asked him "did daddy get that for you?" He said "no I get it myself fridgerator" I asked "did you close it?" He said "uh no!" And I told him to go close it. He said "I got my hands full!" LOL

The other day I told him to clean his toys up and he looked at his hand and started holding it and said "no that will hurt my hands mommy. It will break this finger and this finger and this one" BOY!

I love the way she's talking lately. She will ask me questions and add "yes? (Thumbs up) or no? (Thumbs down)" like one day she wanted to go to the monkey spot (Jimmy changas) she loves green sauce and chips and they have a playground. I told her to go ask daddy. And I asked "what do you think he will say?" And she shrugged her shoulders and very casually said "idk! He will either say yes or no!" And she did the thumbs up and down for that too. I thought it was funny that she was thinking of the possibilities and knew he might say no.

After dropping off Carolina we headed to Dickinson to meet my oldest brother to pick up things of my dads. It was so weird seeing him because it was like a carbon copy of dads face. Like I had to stand back and I was just like WOW you see dad everytime you look in the mirror! We talked and laughed about beaus temper (all the men in my dads family are very Donald Duck temperamental!) and he was telling me about a time recently he got mad and he said "I was slobbering I was so mad!" Brianna was with me and we DIED laughing and I was like okay next time I'm really mad I'm using that! Welllll I didn't realize it would be the next day lol I sent bri a text and told her I was so mad I was slobbering and she called me dying laughing!

Beau got to go through my dads stuff and found keys (his favorite) a couple watches that were mine and my brothers and safety glasses within like 5 seconds of opening the chest! My dad was a total pack rat and I enjoyed looking through his things even though I had no interest in keeping them, it made me laugh. It also made my throat hurt because the smoke smell was so strong lol lung cancer much? Oh wait.....

But I'm just storing things for my brother Garrett whenever he comes home from NY.

It was a busy week I had to shuffle plans several times. We also had a contractor at the house taking out our window seat! Cue the tears. I have so many memories of my babies there and watching them out that window. But the rats are using it as access to the attic so it had to go and we didn't want to mess with trying to rebuild it. So we had a wall put there and eventually we will extend cabinets and countertop and open the kitchen up.

Carolina was pretty upset but they know about daddy trapping rats in the attic so I just explained why.

I was on the phone with mom that night. I walked in the living room and something smelt horrible like vomit. Beau had gagged on something earlier and I was like oh my gosh did you throw up somewhere and he said no. I checked his diaper and nothing. But everytime I walked in the living room I smelled the rotten smell. So I started smelling beau and it was him. I asked him if he ate or drank something and what he got into, meanwhile mom is still on the phone. Beau says "I open it up, take a drink YUCK! It's not chocolate milk! I spit it out!" I was like where is the cup?? He says "in the kitchen!" So sure enough I went to the kitchen and the cup is on the floor and there's smelly milk in the sink. My mom could not stop laughing!

I had to get beau out of bed and wash his hands face neck and ears and make him use mouth wash he was stinky I couldn't lay with him lol

May 8th I had been invited to a brunch for volunteers at Carolina's school. It was really nice and had a huge turnout.

It was sweet. I got a coffee cup and notepad, there were several speakers, spirit team performance and the honor choir sang for us. We heard from a mentor and a mentee.

After beau and I had lots of errands to run. We went to James Avery for Mother's Day gifts, bath and body works for teacher gifts and also lunch at Johnny tamale
